"I felt like I needed to figure out something to help other women not have to go through what I went through." ❤️‍🩹

When @allysenrenee was navigating her own healing journey, so many women reached out with questions, looking for guidance and a safe space. That’s when the vision for The @lelorafoundation was born, creating one dedicated space for resources, support, and honest conversations around women's health.

Our first annual Fibroid & Pelvic Health Awareness Check-In was just the beginning of a bigger vision and impact.

We came together to talk about something that affects so many of us but still doesn’t get talked about enough. We learned, asked questions, shared experiences, and left with real information and resources we could use and pass along.

And shout out to the men who showed up too. The ones who came to learn so they can better support the women they love.

Because this is bigger than women coming together.

We want to see her whole village in the room. Women. Men. Children. Partners. Parents. Loved ones.

We’re making this an annual signature Check-In where our community can come together, stay informed, ask questions, and keep an important conversation going.

This is the vision for Check On Your Girls.

Not just a one-time conversation, but a space our community can count on every year 💜

This is the kind of conversation we want us to keep having.

Real conversations about our bodies, our health and the things that hurt. The things we questioned and didn’t know were connected.

Our panelists came into the room and shared their experiences openly and we're grateful for @_shareeka_ @flkygrl
& @empress.yakira being vulnerable enough to say, “This was my experience.”

Because somebody needed to know she wasn’t overthinking it, she wasn't alone and she wasn’t the only one.

Yesterday felt different. We felt a shift. We felt something happening with Check On Your Girls that went beyond an event
We felt purpose. We felt a connection. We felt community.

And we know that did not happen because of one person. It happened because we all answered our own calling and chose to show up.

We all could have stayed in our own spaces doing our own thing, but instead we chose to connect. We chose to collaborate. We chose to share what we know and what we have. We chose to pour into another woman and lift up another part of our community.

There were so many moments yesterday where we could look around and think, this is what Check On Your Girls is supposed to feel like. People with different gifts, different experiences and different areas of expertise coming together simply because we care.

We are genuinely grateful for each of you. Thank you for believing enough to say yes, for being flexible, for showing up, for sharing your knowledge and for giving a piece of yourselves to this.

We pray we do not let yesterday just be a beautiful moment. We hope we continue building, connecting and creating spaces where we can lift each other up and remind women that they deserve to be seen, heard and cared for.

Thank you for being part of this chapter with us. We truly mean that from our hearts!!!
