First video shoot from 9am to 1:30am in a sweltering hot room 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Next shoot less than 24hrs later and photoshoot couple days after that

Insane week but entirely worth it

Huge thanks to the whole team: @vespermorningstar behind the camera, @envgen on assistant direction and BTS capture, @vladvonkitsch on makeup management, and @scarletearlyonline, @rosa_sweet_thing and @aliceqrwriter for appearing in the video

since people love to respond to things I didn’t say, gonna explicitly add: I am NOT calling for a boycott of trans pride!!!! I’m calling for alertness to a pattern that if left unchecked nullifies the power of pride events

there IS no pride in ceding trans space to cis ‘allies,’ nor ‘begging’ for approval or acceptance

these strategies not only *don’t work* but undermine and devalue the strength of Pride *as protest*. the corruption of gay pride apparently isn’t lesson enough, so with trans pride round the corner, I’m doing my best to inform of these issues before the next garbage thing happens

the video is on my youtube channel, please hear me out in full before you react. thanks 🙏🏼 by @_shonalika_

FINALLY uploaded a YouTube video 🎉✨🥂

it’s a books review one, discussing a fairly random assortment of things I’ve read in the last two years including Blacksad, Gideon The Ninth, and Manhunt

plus a quick update at the start on music + other projects (new band @deathdriveldn first gig June 18th!!)

fully intending to get back to more essays this year so stay tuned if you like those 🖤
