2025!!! ✨🩷🫶🏻

This year brought so many life milestones: graduating college, becoming a registered nurse, getting married and moving into our first apartment! After watching this video about a million times, I found myself just in awe of how wonderful the love of Christ is. The Lord’s kindness has been so so evident throughout this year and he continues to remind me that his heart, his very being, is love. What I deserved, what was my eternity before Jesus changed my life, is not what I’ve found. Instead, while I was dead in sin, Jesus lavished upon me a love so deep that I am free to live a life that glorifies him and reflects his character. That’s what I see when I watch this video; love that casts our fear, welcomes me like family, and is faithful through my failures. What more can I say about it? My God is love. by @_sidneystevens

From middle school crush to covenant love.

Wow what a journey for these two. What began with an awkward walk through the woods at a church cookout turned into a once-in-a-lifetime love story. Sidney and Garrett noticed each other long before they ever spoke, and by eighth grade, shy conversations and a first kiss marked the beginning of their journey as middle school sweethearts.

Through high school milestones, senior year challenges, and long talks about the future, they never stopped choosing one another. Guided by faith and surrounded by family and friends who have been cheering them on since the very beginning, Sidney and Garrett returned to the church where their story first bloomed to promise forever.

Their wedding day at Woodland Heights and celebration at JLH Wedding Barn captured not just a day, but a lifetime in the making — a testament that young love can grow, endure, and become a forever love story.

Lastly, a few random pics that felt too good not to share. These pics show ALLLL the emotions from this day: love, joy, gratitude, peace, & excitement. I’ve been telling people that God certainly knew what he was doing when he designed marriage. our reception — no other word to describe this night other than an absolute BLAST! The room was flooded with dancing, cake cutting, music, and some of the best speeches (accompanied by lots of tears and laughter), given by our favorite people. There was simply joy. Joy from being surrounded by our friends and family, joy from finally being married, and ultimate joy because of our Lord Jesus, and the evidence of his grace and mercy this day provided. our ceremony — the absolute best part of the day. Our friends Livie and Cole read scripture over us, Madi sang the most beautiful blessing, and Garrett and I got to dedicate the rest of our lives to following Jesus together! So many of our family and friends were involved in running this behind the scenes and we couldn’t be more thankful for just how precious, holy, and beautiful these moments were. by @_sidneystevens

our bridal party — all of our best friends, from all phases of life, in one place at one time. It doesn’t get much better than that! Many of these people have known Garrett and I or I since elementary school. What a privilege it is to have such wonderful, Christ-centered friendships like these! by @_sidneystevens

our family — I know most people don’t share their extended family portraits from their wedding day, but who are Garrett and I without these people? Without our parents who modeled Christ-centered marriages for us? Without our siblings who taught us what brothers and sisters in Christ truly looks like? Without our grandparents who showed us how important family is through generations, or without our cousins and aunts and uncles who all participated and helped this day come together. God designed the family with so much intentionality and purpose and we certainly felt overwhelmingly grateful for ours on this day. by @_sidneystevens
