no words to explain what the past 56 days meant to me.

fought hard and sacrificed so much, grateful for 16 people that aggressively pushed for excellence every day and encouraged me to do the same. grateful for 4 $b brothers. grateful for grace, brian, and jabari taking a chance on a video audition in february. grateful for dillon, allan, and koko providing me with knowledge that will last me a lifetime.

nightbeat 2022 was the first drum corps event i saw. last night, i got the chance to perform in the same stadium, for an amazing crowd, 4 years later.

i’ve spent the last 5 years trying to build something that will last with my best friends, and this past saturday was the culmination of it all. in this moment, the blood, sweat, and tears are worth it.

doing the thing outdoors this time - long caption time

for those of you who don’t know, i’ve recently received a contract to march bass drum at the spartans this summer! world class drum corps is essentially the highest level of marching band, with auditioning for a corps being an extremely competitive process.

first of all, i am so grateful to the spartans batterie staff for providing me with this opportunity, but also to @austint_ , @rodaniel19 , and all the other paradigm staff that have taught me everything i know over the past 5 years.

while marching at the highest caliber of this activity has been my dream for a while, it does not come at a low cost - my expenses for the summer will be around $7,500. this number covers transportation during tour and to pre-season rehearsal camps in new hampshire, food, housing, instruction and more during the season. this heavy cost is why i am reaching out in order to start fundraising.

in addition to this, due to the nature of the marching arts being primarily a youth activity, this is the last opportunity i have to able to participate in drum corps. any donation of any amount or any sharing of this post to help me achieve this dream is immensely appreciated, thank you so much! by @_ssrivenkatesh
