🌍 First Line Poets Project 🌏

This month, our founder @emmajanepoetry switched things up and we had a September Sprint challenge: 4 weeks, 4 lines each, 4 poems or at least 1 poem in the entire month.

I made it at the end. And writing after a few weeks felt freeing.

Thank you @emmajanepoetry for creating this beautiful family and keeping everyone inspired and @life_and_light_poetry for being the amazing and constant support 🤍

The line which spoke to me was "Something grew like I never expected"

With how busy our lives get and with so many changes, we crave for stability. For a constant. For a safe space. For love.

This poem is just me being whimsy and dreaming of my perfect love. To dream is to live. Or so I would choose to believe :)

Happy happy birthday @_padhi_nikita_ 🎉🎂🎂🥂

It's been how long, anyways...I should stop counting because this love has now turned into "till death do us part" ♥️

I love you. Thank you for who you are, and for being yourself with me :)

I am a better person at times because of the things you say in passing. I am braver because you always have my back. I am kinder when I see how you forgive. You love me, even when I forget to love myself.

I hope you can see this and remember what a beautiful person you are ♥️

Can love really save you? Save you from your own demons? From this cruel, cruel world?

No.

But love is worth taking risks. Worth stepping out of your comfort into arms that can become home. Worth taking a chance even if you believe otherwise.

Ash and Eiji's story is beautiful yet tragic. Goodbyes before love yous. Eiji's softness was brave against the mistrust in Ash's world, but Ash thought he was not worthy of that. Because he never knew love before Eiji.

It's difficult to grasp the possibility of enough when you haven't been ever.

December is here with bone-chilling cold weather and soup cravings :)

November prompt for FLP was to write a poem using a line from your writing partner's poem which you liked and I absolutely loved this prompt ✨

My writing partner is the amazing @stars.and.leaves 🤍Elizabeth's poems are absolutely incredible and filled with so much emotions. Do check them out 🤗

I loved the line from one of her poems - "we are writing cards that'll never see life" and immediately knew this was going to be my inspiration :)

🌍First Line Poets Project 🌏

A little late but still here :)

Thank you @emmajanepoetry for being the most amazing founder of this community and giving me this beautiful line, "your skin smells of summer"

This poem is inspired by Ilya and Shane from the The Long Game by one of my favourite authors @rachelreidwrites 💕

They are one of my favourite (sadly fictional) characters :)

This is in reference with the time where they are spending time in Shane's cottage, temporarily forgetting about the complicated logistics of their relationship and just soaking in their moments together, despite everything 🥰
