A gente é brasileiro. 💚💛

*****

This is it—another Carnival comes to an end. This crazy celebration is one of the most important traditions in Brazil, when time seems to stop for days of fun and joy. Small parties usually start popping up everywhere about a month before the holiday and last until the weekend after Ash Wednesday—which means this weekend. But in Brazil, Carnival doesn’t need a date. We celebrate all year long because we are Brazilian. Recently, I was in Brazil in September and went to a small Carnival Party. Yeah, in September. Jus because… well, we don’t really need a reason.

This year, we have the chance to witness the historic moment of winning of our first Academy Award during Carnival, and I’m pretty sure there will be parties everywhere in the coming weeks to celebrate that—we just need to wait for the movie’s team to come back home. I mean, we love to party. One of the best things about us is our ability to celebrate our achievements, no matter what.

Alright, this is my final spoiler about Hanna!

I’m so excited that, very soon, we’ll be able to see the result of months of hard work in a beautiful printed book. :)

I’ll keep you updated on when it becomes available. I truly hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working on this project!

In Truths About My Garden, Hanna is worried as she senses something might be going wrong with her flowers. But what could it possibly be?

Stay tuned – the book will be available soon! :)

>>Ingredientes<<

* 1 maço de cebolinha picadinha

* Colorau (colorífico) ou massa de tomate a gosto, mas o suficiente para dar uma corzinha ao caldo

* Azeite de oliva a gosto

* 1 colher de sobremesa de vinagre

* Sal a gosto

* Limão para preparar o peixe

>>Modo de Preparo<<

Farinha uarini e arroz branco

Today, we celebrate International LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Day, and to commemorate this important occasion, we have created a special project that highlights the importance of LGBTQIAPN+ literature for children. This is the first of 26 illustrations we are preparing for the project “Prideful Words”, and for this first post we chose to share with you the letter D, for "different".

Our initiative aims to promote inclusion and show that diversity is an essential pillar of our society. Feeling welcomed and represented is fundamental for healthy child development, and books can be great allies in this process. Teaching respect for differences is essential, and through literature, children can learn about empathy, understand the richness of diversity, and the importance of breaking stereotypes.

***
