So happy to announce that my work ‘Long Shadows’ has been selected to be in the @harley_foundation open 2026. The works were chosen from over 700 submissions for their exceptional quality, diversity, and creativity. From photography, painting and pottery, to canal art and clog making, the selected works bring together a rich mix of contemporary art and heritage craft.
I’m so happy to be representing letterpress as a way of making contemporary work in this exhibition that showcases and celebrates heritage crafts. by @_theomiller

The Time It Takes my exhibition at @wrexham_school_of_art came down this week. A true joy to be able to share my work, thanks to @matthewmacaulaypaints for the opportunity. To be able to share these works together in one space was great. I’m feeling inspired to get back in the studio and to continue to explore, play and make new work.

This week I was at @uwebristol @uwe_print servicing their etching and lithography presses in their specialist rooms, including 3 offset presses and a direct lithography press and 3 Rochat etching presses, I also looked at one of their Albions that had an issue with the strap. It was wonderful being there at the start of the academic year, with new excited students and users of the spaces. Thanks to everyone I shared spaces with this week. @bengoodman_uk @demiinsall @kei.wing._.hui @ianchamberlainartist @gillian_garnica and others I can’t find or tag on insta!

Join us at Harriman & Co. for a creative morning with artist and printmaker Theo Miller, learning the art of linocut printing.

Theo will guide you through designing and carving your own festive image onto a square piece of lino, before showing you how to print a set of your very own Christmas cards.

You’ll leave with a beautifully personal set of handmade cards, your lino block to keep and the skills to print again at home.

Suitable for beginners and anyone keen to revisit this traditional craft. All materials provided, just bring yourself and a few ideas!

Brilliant day at @leicesterprintworkshop today teaching @fishboneartstuff @twentytwo_east , Nancy and Jennifer! We were doing a relief printing booster course and I showed them how to use the Stephenson Blake press. We talked through mounting lino to the correct height for the press, inking, makeready and of course … clean down! Along with many other tips and tricks for the press and relief printing, like how to print relief on a portable etching press. It’s the first time I’ve done this course at Leicester Print Workshop and I loved it!!! Brilliant results! taken in Leicester Print Workshop by @_theomiller

I’m doing a little workshop at @harrimanandco on November 1st. I’m really looking forward to it, sharing linocut with some new people and printing some Christmas cards! I did this little partridge this afternoon to check the size of the lino we’ll be working on! Places are bookable on the Harriman & Co website! by @_theomiller

Today I was the St George’s Academy, Sleaford (@stga_official) to fix up their small fleet of presses , these presses are normally based in different classrooms and were all a bit faulty in different ways! To the point where none of them were printing and panic had set in because printmaking is very much part of their curriculum- now they’re all back up and running again. They said they’d had them for over 10 years so they’ve lasted well in the school environment, always the most hardcore of environments for little presses!

Well last night was something quite special , such an amazing opening event at @harley_foundation I have never shown work alongside such a wide variety of crafts and work and it was fantastic. Great to meet and see @bronwen.grieves @danielprintmaker @sarahkirbyprint @grhawes @carolinegreylingart and many other smiling faces. Some are photos here of bits that I loved (and could actually get photos of through the crowds!) , although it was so hard to catch everything on such a busy evening, I can’t wait to return and spend more time with everything. To paraphrase what judge @jamesfox283 said to welcome us yesterday, it was great to see the arts thriving and celebrated in a environment of cuts and a tough environment for the arts. by @_theomiller

This week I have been at @uniofglos in their print room. Just off the Illustration studio is a wonderful printmaking space. Used by students across the university. The presses had been in servicing limbo for a good many years so it was satisfying to make them back to their best again! Some big differences felt this week. Presses serviced included Etching presses, Direct Litho Press and Offset press, proofing presses and Iron hand presses. Also attached the feed board to the Farley for easy printing. Thanks to technician @tonbo_prints for such a warm welcome. It felt like a very welcoming print room with a vast array of presses and techniques possible.

I just dropped my work of at @harley_foundation ready for next weeks exhibition The Harley Open 2026 .. had a quick peek at the gallery and already started to see an amazing collection of works assembling.I also dropped off the work of @sarahkirbyprint to save on trips! While here I looked at the exhibition at the Harley Museum next door, ‘The World’s mine oyster’ a showcase of a collection which was built up by the Dukes of Portland and their families, who have owned Welbeck since 1607. And before driving home had one of the best sausage rolls I’ve ever had from the farm shop. Can’t wait for the opening event next week, maybe see you there?! by @_theomiller
