JESTER KING 🍾

Next week on Thursday 28th May we’re honoured to be participating in the annual SPONZEE DAY. A celebration of spontaneously fermented beer which put Texan legends @jesterkingbrewery on the map.

Alongside an incredibly limited run of 2026 SPON we’ll have DOOM FORGE 12% a huge Coffee Imperial Stout and collaboration with @figure8coffeepurveyors , LA VIE EN ROSE 6,6% a raspberry wild ale and THE GARYS 6,8%, a simcoe, mosaic, citra and krush westie IPA.

House Pale 🌾

As we get ready to open again for another week, we thought it’d be a good time to shout about our new house pale ale from @burningskybeer THREE ARMS 4%.

Hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Motueka and Simcoe, this one is a fruit driven beer on the nose, with an incredibly pillowy texture. Certified GLUTEN FREE too, which means everyone can have a glass! x taken in The Sickle by @_thesickle

THANK YOU! 🎉

Just a word to say thank you to everyone who came by for our first birthday on the 21st. It was awesome to see so many faces come by who’ve made the place what it is over the last 365 days. 🥰

A huge thank you to @ninotchkaband for a smashing set and some physics-bending squeezing in of instruments into our little bar! I’m sure it won’t be the last time we’ll sing together…

BREW DAY! 🍻

Sharing a few snaps of our collaboration day with the wonderful @tileysbrewery up at the Salutation Inn.

Getting in the way of the headbrewer Floz made up the bulk of the day, but antics with bags of saaz, northern brewer and brewer’s gold made up for the obstruction (I hope).

Under the watchful eye of brewery cat Pretzel, we brewed a wonderfully hop-bittered Belgian-style blonde. Packed with aromatic spices, banana and herbal notes on the nose, and sitting at a respectable 5.2% on the the abv.

Available for the next few weeks down here at The Sickle, and in a few choice spots in Bristol in the coming weeks too.
