Playing catchup with posting my races 😬

San Diego Super back in April. Nothing like sharing these great experiences with family. My cousin @edsel.monroy and his wife @adrisliz absolutely crushed it. I'm xtremely proud of both of them 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. I may be 40, but @spartan makes me feel 22 😆💪🏼🏅🏃‍♂️

Is a 15 mile Spartan race worth running on a severely sprained (and swollen) ankle?...

...ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY!! 💪🏼

Rolled my ankle 3/4 of a mile into the race and I must say, I don't think I've ever felt such pain. Thank goodness two kind angels 😇 were with me along the way. As you can see in the clips, this wonderful Godly man did not allow my injury to get worse. My advise to anyone wanting to continue injured, DO IT!! No, no, no!! Jk 😆. Listen to your body, of course, but definitely get you a Spartan family like I did 🏃‍♂️❤️

An Amazing Saturday well spent at Dodgers Stadium doing the Spartan Stadion Race. Extra special because it was my nephew Anthony's first race. I hope to have the family join me in many more. AROO! 💪🏼 by @_tio.sol_

Such a great weekend! Not sure what could have made this weekend better. I had great company, ran into old friends, and made it out alive.

There are no words to describe the feeling of hitting that bell. Hard work has truly paid off 💪🏼

Thank you to my friend @coach_jules_ for always, always being my biggest cheerleader. To the amazing volunteers, you were all incredible. Your cheers and motivation truly push us to continue and reach the finish line. Last but not least, huge fucking shout out to @alextilinca 🙏🏻 Your guidance has truly put me at another level not just physically, but mentally. Right now, this moment, I feel I'm at my best, but we're not finished, brother 🔥💪🏼

Unfortunately, there are a lot of injustices happening in the country I proudly and honorably served for, but life is what you decide to make of it. This is how I choose to live mine. What a way to end 2025 😁. One of my goals this year was to complete 5 Trifectas and here we are. Best (some might say crazy) of all, I completed all three races in one day. Beast 21k, Super 10k and Sprint 5k. For those that know, Spartan distance is not regular distance 😆.

This year has been filled with challenges, but I thank God I'm in a much better place mentally and physically. Thanks to everyone that has been cheering me on throughout the ups and downs.

Haven't posted in a while. Thought I'd do a little Medal Monday to when I got my 2nd Trifecta of 2025. Definitely three of the hardest races I've had (besides all of 2022). This was a very tough month, but I got through it thanks to the amazing #Spartan community. #AROO 💪🏼 by @_tio.sol_

What a weekend!!! 💪🏼

Let’s recap…

Day 1: Beast (21k/30 obstacles) and Sprint (5k/20 obstacles). A few new obstacles, freezing 🥶 cold water, lots of cheering, lots of laughter, lots of injuries (not kidding), and an overall great time. By the time we got to the Sprint, Dunk Wall had been shut due to weather conditions and it was crazy windy, but we finished.

Day 2: Teddy Bear Crawl (.5 miles of bear crawling. Proceeds of this go towards charities) and Super (10k/25 obstacles). I started off with the Teddy Bear Crawl on my own with a swollen knee, but it was worth it. It’s a new event and it’s all for a great cause. At the finish, you get a patch and a leftover medal from the past years 😆. After the TBC, we went directly to the Super. We took it slow because my friend and I had injuries, but we got to the end.

🍾 Here’s to the first Trifecta of 2025! God willing, there will be more. To all my Spartan family, I fucking love you guys! AROO!
