Bucket List Brother Bluefin Tuna Adventure! 🎣We headed out of San Diego with the @johnnyjigs crew aboard the legendary @polarissupreme to hunt for beasts off the coast of Mexico. After 3 nights at sea, we landed over 100 Bluefin tuna, including bringing in dozens over 100 pounds The fishing gods blessed us with perfect weather, incredible night fishing, great laughs, and fruitful rockfish for a great day of slow-pitch jigging. Some amazing eats these last two weeks. Between lobster season and a Pulley Ridge trip, stocked up the fridge and freezer for at least a few months. by @_topangler

Beautiful sail in 250 while solo fishing today! He ate a live pilchard while I was slowly sending it down. He started jumping like crazy by the boat. Reeled up over a hundred yards of line to find out I was tight on him. He swallowed the hook and was bleeding through his gills after the twenty minute fight on light tackle(20 pound braid, 40 pound leader). I tried to revive him for about ten minutes once I got him boatside. Landing a sailfish solo has to be one of my favorite fishing events, you have to devise a clear plan to land it during the fight while he takes you around the boat again and again. I had to hand line the 30 feet of leader at the weight, then grab the bill…so much could have went wrong but didn’t. Wish I could have released him but smoked sailfish is delicious so he wont be wasted. If anyone wants some fresh fish let me know! by @_topangler

Tons of action today in 200-250. Found this 30 inch mutton through the bonitas and managed to keep him away from the tax man! by @_topangler

Better late than never for a first post and no better way to start my fishing page! 850 feet of water just north of Port Everglades. Hit like a freight train just off the bottom and I engaged the electric reel. Very light drag and he came right to the boat without ever realizing he was hooked. If this fish wanted to fight, no way I would’ve been able to handle him. Hopefully not a once in a lifetime catch for me but I’d be okay if it was! Huge shoutout to @johnnyjigs @cmormaps @daiwausa for getting me setup with all my gear used to catch this fish. The one drop 520 gram jig I used has caught me a few tiles but will certainly be retired after this sword. I haven’t found a jig that gets to the bottom as quickly or that has the specific shape. The slow pitch setup used was a seaborg 300j paired with an oceans legacy elementus 400-1000g. by @_topangler
