Let Epiphany begin 🌀🔥🌬🍁🌠🌊☄ Walk with me

The three things these flames represent are expounded here:
1. The passion and internal energy residing in a highly creative soul: It is this fire that preserves the urge to always create and explore possibilities; a repining restlessness that stretches us and unfortunately sometimes, leads to burn out or blocks. Herein lies the duality of working and resting; with questions like "Am I doing too much or I'm doing way less?". This fiery passion can be as beautiful as it is destructive.

2. Transformation and rebirth through spiritual enlightenment: Fire destroys but it also leaves behind ashes to let new things grow. When one comes in contact with spiritual truths, a rebirth inwardly begins. It is like you're the raw gold going through a furnace of transformation for the refined and purified you. Here, the duality of dying and living daily exists.

3. The very nature of God we're transmuted into: Fire and light have been closely associated with divinity. It is this light we are to fully embrace till it gets intensified within us, so that we'll be able to reflect it seamlessly to our world which lies in darkness.

Epiphany is here to serve you a "Welcome" into my visual exploration of Mysticism🌬 Meditate with me

Few days back, I was invited to perform spoken words at the FLUX Exhibition by @creathlabs
When I got to the @arkhive.ng space, I felt welcomed by the amazing artworks displayed and the ambient feeling of the moment❤ Truly, an art exhibition like this is one of the best places to unwind ☺
The theme, Flux, is a phenomenon that affects us as humans and through different artworks and performances, we were inspired and educated in our response to recurring changes.
An excerpt from my piece said:

"Unfortunately, time is a sister to Flux
And we cannot presume her stumbling blocks
The change she'll bring; whether good or bad
We cannot tell what prompts it had
It could be more for you; less for another
Like the machine era to the manual labourer
The electric beats to the classical singer
And the rush of city to the countryside farmer"

So, the big question is "What does it feel like to redefine identity in a period of rapid, continuous change?" 🤔
The exhibition still runs till October 17th. Go and be inspired🪄

Drink and Burn by @_treasure_artchi made me think about the kind of love that goes beyond loving someone only when everything is easy.

Two people can be completely different — different personalities, different ways of thinking, different habits and even different ways of expressing love and still choose to be together. I think that is where understanding comes in.

Loving someone is not always about finding a person who is exactly like you. Sometimes, it is about learning the person you love, understanding their weaknesses, their difficult sides and accepting that nobody is perfect.

We all have flaws, and being with someone means learning when to compromise, when to give space, when to correct and when to simply understand that this person is different from you.

Looking at the two figures in this work, I see two different worlds still finding a way to connect. Their colours are different, but they come together beautifully. And for me, that says a lot about love.

Maybe real love is not about changing someone into the person we want them to be, but learning how to grow together while accepting each other's imperfections.

The title Drink and Burn also makes me think about the two sides of love. It can feel comforting, something you want more of, but it can also burn. Love can bring warmth, but it can hurt too.

Still, when two people are willing to understand each other, accept their flaws and keep learning how to love each other better, those differences don't always have to separate them.

Sometimes, they become part of what makes the relationship worth holding onto.

Drum rolls! 🥁🥁🥁
I present to you the third piece in the series of Epiphany titled "The Search" 🗾
Media: Oil on Canvas
Size: 3×4 ft

Remember, the free-spirited being born of the rocks and guarded in light? Here is where the task begins.
The Search is an experience of being sent to a journey of discovery- the world before you is unknown, your future still remains a mystery. It could be dark, it could bright. But whatever you face and whoever you'll become, you must not lose your crown. Into the echoes of mystical purpose, you are like a little child sent to a mysterious forest. However, you must have the insight and wisdom of an owl with the bravery and boldness of a lion.
More is to come....

The second painting in the Epiphany series titled "Of the rocks" is highly reflective of a process of spiritual formation and rebirth. The free-spirited one has now awoken to a higher calling- the heightened senses and deep knowing proves there is more to her purpose. Though one may not know entirely, but an affirmative response to a divine call is the very first important step to re-discovering what role one must play in relation to the universe.
So she, just like you, may be "of the rocks", being formed and nursed in a spiritual birthplace where the Heavens, the stars and earth align.

A lil throwback to the process of creating this piece👩🏽‍🎨 What surprised me was the fact that my initial intentions lost its grip on me😄 (I've learnt to surrender my will to what must be created) While journeying on the canvas on the wheels of each brush-stroke, I soon discovered that I had taken another path. What I intended to portray as plants and flowers became rocks 😯 Infact, what should've been a garden emerged as a rocky platform resembling the base of where a volcanic experience could occur😶 Coincidentally, someone witnessing my process in person said to me "this fiery lady looks like she's stepping out of an otherworldly place where molten magma forms. She looks like she's one with the rocks" 🤔 How interesting...
Anyways, more details about this finished piece will be dropped in the next post ❤

This is the first work in the Epiphany series 🍁

Title: Free-spirited
Media: Oil on canvas
Size: 3×4 ft

I realized that the life of a creative seems different from the usual. You can imagine the heightened curiosity, recurring experiments, quest for new adventures, escapades, mental wandering; it feels like we're bored of the ordinary. Sometimes, the world feels too toxic so we create our own 😄 and decide to share to someone who understands❤ You're that someone🙃 You're welcome here 🌹

I am free-spirited; I love delving deep in my curiosity, thirst for knowledge, self awareness, inner peace, joy, love, solace in the palms of nature, comfort in the sounds of leaves rustling and birds chirping, conversations with the transcendental; and most importantly, freedom to be who I am and radiate my creative flames💫
