ᰔ ONE LAST LOOK BACK ᰔ

One last look back at our festival Saturday. From digging through local releases at Label Fair to getting lost in tectonic bass & flickering lights. Thank you for staying curious with us until the very end. 🩷

Big thanks to @nordhardseltzer for keeping us refreshed along the way!

After a wholesome Saturday afternoon of meeting friends and discovering new local releases at Label Fair, we headed downstairs for musical discoveries. Kevin Richard Martin @bugmanldn, together with @c.h.a.r.l.i.e.h.o.p.e, cast a magical spell with glacial, tectonic sound that shook one to the core, and a hypnotic fusion of lasers and strobes that brought us all into the state of trance. @isama__zing and @djgapdjgap brought attention to the sounds that surround us throughout the festival: the microscopic clicks and sounds of strobes, lights and smoke. They put them to the front, allowing for a solo and turning the hierarchy upside down.

@kevinpeterhe and @flt.n3sss combined the mesmerizing visuals Kevin Peter He was gliding through with his custom camera and the moments of physical, vigorous interaction from FITNESSS. @kosunes ś masterclass in dropping IDM-adjacent, breaks-heavy bangers went successfully, as our still-aching necks can confirm, while @_urok_ accompanied it with dynamic 3D visuals, uncovering layer by layer. The next show was something very special: @misszorajones returned to Lunchmeat a very different person, shining with confidence, with a beautiful solo album on the horizon, full of honest, raw and beautiful songs. Touched to our core and on the brink of tears, we felt the sadness and the joy, dancing it all out.

@voronhil & @kuthijin then played with the identities of beings, jumped all over the club stage, and blasted their tight, colourful production and rap, playing with puppet theatre and expectations. Safety Trance @cardopusher then played a high-energy live set that kept the promise of seeing you all dancing. And dancing all together. @bitterbabe_ & @lechugazafiro played the closing set of the night, keeping everyone locked in on the dance floor until the last track.

💗💗💗

See You Headbangin’

Andrés Satué has played and released under Lendrone, Esquelas, and Huma: he’s arriving at Lunchmeat under his more recent, IDM-forward, dancefloor-centered moniker of @kosunes . Sweeping, almost 3D kicks twirl with punchy sound design. Under his many monikers, he released on Raster (No Frontiers compilation), Opal Tapes, Bestiarie, ENSMBLE, Matapadre, and very recently Abundance, and played at festivals like WOS, MIRA and MUTEK. At Lunchmeat, he’ll play together with a visual artist and long-time collaborator, @_urok_ , a rendition of his most recent material, presenting their real-time reactive audiovisual system where image and sound evolve in parallel, without illustrative relationships or established hierarchies.
