It’s time to act for clean air.

We’ve teamed up with 25+ other groups in the London Healthy Air Coalition to call for renewed action on air pollution - and commitments from London’s local election candidates.

Things have gotten better - but in too many places, too much of the time, our air is still much dirtier than international guidelines for safe air.

London could be a clean air global city, but we need to act now. We’re asking London’s local election candidates to:
Adopt new targets and help make London a clean air global city
Ditch diesel and help workers breathe easy
Deliver less traffic and more movement
Lead the way on warm homes and lower bills

Fuel shocks expose just how dependent our transport system still is on oil and gas.

With most journeys still made by car — even short trips in cities — households are left vulnerable to sudden price rises.

Building resilience means shifting more journeys to public transport, and reducing our reliance on fossil-fuelled travel.

We’re looking for partners who can keep us fixing for longer!!

Almost all of the money needed to run our Fixing Factories comes from a grant from the National Lottery Community Action Fund. As of May 2027 this funding is going to drop. A LOT.

So, we need to find another way to keep our doors open; to keep items out of landfill; and to keep growing.

We've been here since 2022 putting our vision for community repair into practice: a vision of breathing life back into derelict high streets, bringing people together through shared skills, helping communities navigate the rising cost of living through practical support, and, above all, resisting a culture that tells us to throw things away when they could be repaired.

We can’t stop now.

We’re casting the net wide and trying to reach as many people as possible to have the best chance of people who can help us bring Fixing Factories to the next level.
