This anniversary feels even sweeter as we see it through new eyes, with Sabrina in our arms, Mage by our side, and the next chapter of our story just beginning.

Twenty years ago, we went on our first date.

Fifteen years ago, a little puppy named Mage found her way into our hearts.

Nine years ago today, we stood together and promised each other forever.

Since then, we’ve crossed oceans, built businesses, weathered challenges, celebrated victories, and along the way created a home filled with more love than we ever imagined.

Looking back from 2006 to 2026, it’s remarkable how much life can fit into twenty years. Looking forward, I can’t wait to see where the next twenty take us.

We’ve spent the past year developing a design-led micro-resort in the Columbia River Gorge.

4 cabins are now live, with 6 more units launching soon, just in time for peak season.

This year feels different.

Anu is now a mother, and this is our first Mother’s Day celebrating as a family of three.

This next chapter is something we’ve quietly been building toward together for a long time.

Through every step of the journey, Anu has carried herself with so much strength, patience, love, and grace. She brings such a deep sense of warmth, care, and presence into everything she does, and motherhood is no exception.

This season of life feels slower, fuller, and more meaningful because of her.

Barefoot in Boracay, where a simple yes changed everything.

2016 held us gently, and quietly set the rhythm for everything that followed—
Dancing at the Marin County Civic Center. A quiet afternoon at the de Young Museum. Golden light on the columns of the Palace of Fine Arts.

Celebrating our last Valentine’s today before this next chapter begins, remembering the engagement year that quietly shaped our story.

From that first yes… to our baby girl on the way, about to change everything.

Real men wear pink (especially when it's mandatory for the premiere! 🎟️).

When he and his wife sent me this photo, I laughed and said I look half his size. He brought up our old Maui 2008 pics and swore it was just an "optical illusion"—claimed I’m at least 3/4 of him.

I couldn't let it slide, so I ran the numbers. Turns out I’m physically 42% of his volume but 61% of his weight. I’m basically built like a human kettlebell. 🏋️‍♂️

Still feeling the sparkle from Saturday’s Boutique Hotel Mastermind Holiday Party! 🎄🥳

The night began with the glow of a multicolored Christmas tree lighting up Little Italy, setting the tone before we even stepped into the celebration for an evening to remember.

Our weekend stay at the ideally located Rich Somers Hotel Zindel in Little Italy let us experience hospitality done right from the very start. SC headquarters provided the perfect backdrop for a night filled with energy, laughter, and genuine connection.

Friday night’s Boutique Hotel Mastermind Yacht Kickoff, hosted by @RichSomers, was magical, cruising the water with amazing company, sparkling lights, and festive vibes that set the perfect tone for the weekend. 🎶🥂

As part of @rich_somers boutique hotel mastermind, we spent a few unforgettable days in Tulum with some of the most inspiring people in real estate, hospitality, and content. The retreat blended mindset, scaling, branding, hospitality, and real connection. From our spot at Casa Luna to the white party at Casa Arka, every moment was a blend of learning and connection, reminding us that being in the right rooms accelerates our growth more than anything else.

The speakers kept returning to the same core truths:

@drsethbolt and @toribolt reminded us that proximity and mentorship accelerate your growth the moment you stop trying to figure everything out alone.

@kassidy.warren pushed us toward the velocity of money, decisive action, and building systems so your income is no longer tied to your hours.

@brianluebben showed that scaling starts from the inside out. When you steady your state and rewrite the limiting stories you’ve been operating from, the right strategy becomes obvious.

@bethany_laflam reminded us that balance comes from doing only the work that energizes you and delegating the rest, the true “Who, Not How” shift.

And @isaacfrench_ showed us that design is the greatest amenity, and that emotion, simplicity, and nature are what truly drive hospitality demand.

And @iambenwolff taught that social discovery is the best way to drive dirtect bookings.

We spent a transformative few days in Tulum, staying at Casa Luna and visiting incredibly beautiful villas. Hacienda Medina, Hacienda Babylon, and Casa Arka created the backdrop for a retreat that was more than an event. It was a reset, a recalibration, and a reminder of what’s possible when you’re surrounded by people expanding their vision.

The speakers offered different lessons, all tied by one clear thread:

@rich_somers reminded us that the right rooms accelerate your growth faster than anything else.

@drsethbolt and @toribolt showed how growth accelerated once they stopped doing it alone and invested in masterminds.

@kassidy.warren emphasized that momentum and standards shape everything. Keep capital moving, buy back your time early, choose productive discomfort and shorten the gap between decision and action. When the operator grows, the business grows.

@brianluebben showed that scaling happens from the inside out. His framework, State > Story > Strategy, shows that when you shift your state and rewrite your story, the right strategy emerges.

@bethany_laflam challenged hustle culture by reminding us to only hustle on what energizes us. Protect your health, energy, and creativity as your real assets, and delegate the rest.

@isaacfrench_ reminded us that design is the greatest amenity, nature is the co-designer, and emotion drives average daily rate.

And @iambenwolff taught that social discovery is the best way to drive direct bookings.

We left inspired, energized, and clearer on the next chapter. Tulum reminded us that being surrounded by people raising capital, building brands, scaling companies, and designing hospitality at the highest level expands your own vision.

If the weekend had one theme, it’s this: your life and business grow to the level of your vision and capacity. Everything starts with state, story, and belief.
