Althea was once an ordinary girl, until a catastrophic event changed her path forever. Only death could save her from life. That’s where I come in. This is a story about the journey of both the flesh and the soul, and her guide (that’s me) who had the difficult job of getting her on the right path. Let’s begin…

When We Were Sane is harrowing tale of post war 1940s. A lonely widow fighting demons and a veteran trying to save them both in an unconventional tale that will drag your heart through the cold mud and twist your mind while it’s at it. Not the ending you might expect from a “darker” romance but one that will trigger your tears and have you thinking about it days later…

“He convinced himself that she was the perfect woman, broken like him. There was also hope within her that he admired. That part he wanted for himself. Perhaps he was even greedy for it.”

The Veil Between The Wayward Winds: A woman stuck in the purgatory of her own life. A death that changes her. A grumpy spirit guide who isn’t thrilled about his new mission.

This has romantic sub plots, themes on death, reincarnation, NDE’s, and the journey of the soul. Yes there are open door scenes. Yes there is an unconventional happily ever after.

ARC sign ups will be open until September 30th. by @a.h.king.author

WIP updates: The Veil Between The Wayward Winds is nearly done. Just waiting on the (currently delayed) print proof to run through and do a final edit check.

New WIP: May have walked through a cemetery the other day and got this idea for a new book. May have also written 11,000 words for it over the weekend. No idea where it’s going yet, but then again that’s often the case when I begin writing a new book.

Cemeteries are incredibly inspiring places for me to visit. Always offering a little perspective.

ARC sign ups for TVBTWW will be up for a couple more weeks.

Also, if you have Kindle Unlimited, When We Were Sane and Where Darkness Bleeds will be leaving this month so if you haven’t read it and wanted to, now’s the chance. It’ll still be available for paperback and ebook sales after. by @a.h.king.author

ARC applications are open for my new speculative fiction, The Veil Between The Wayward Winds. A woman whose trauma buried her in fear. A death that changes everything. A grumpy spirit guide who isn’t thrilled about his mission on Earth.

ARC applications are open for my new speculative fiction, The Veil Between The Wayward Winds. A woman whose trauma buried her in fear. A death that changes everything. A grumpy spirit guide who isn’t thrilled about his new mission.

This has romantic sub plots, themes on death, reincarnation, NDE’s, and the journey of the soul. It’s for anyone that has questioned everything, our beginning and our end. For lost souls trying to find purpose. For those who are trying to break free from the chains of their past. It’s not a chapter in a characters life but the whole story.

It has Matt Haig & Mitch Albom vibes with my darker touch and spiritual imagination. I have experienced things I can’t explain. Writing this book was my way of trying to understand it.

And yes there is spice and some content that may be upsetting to some readers. The form application is on my Linktree. Feel free to ask questions if you have any.
