Here is a look at our newest installation, WAKE. We tried to give a peek at how it was created and how it works. WAKE is an audiovisual instrument that creates a unique piece of ephemeral art based on participant’s play with a retro arcade joystick. WAKE is an interactive audiovisual instrument, where every note played bends the path of a living landscape. Sounds become terrain, tangling into knots or stretching out. A melodic choice creates a luminous wake — a reflection of a participant’s impact on the environment, until time fades it away.

WAKE is a work by @a.m.architect_ , the duo of Diego Chavez (@diego.chavez.io) and Daniel Stanush (@mr_daniel_), whose practice lives at the intersection of music and visual art — blending acoustic and electric instrumentation with film, generative art, and live-coding to open a dialogue with audiences through interactivity, rewarding curiosity and participation with ephemeral works of art.

dadageek is excited to offer this hands-on workshop on @hydravideosynth led by multidisciplinary artist @diego.chavez.io whose work spans generative visuals, live coding, and audiovisual performance with the group @a.m.architect_

In this session, Diego will walk through Hydra from the ground up, using live coding to build and manipulate visuals in real time, a flexible approach for VJing and live performance. This workshop functions as a hands-on technical class, building step by step from simple lines of code to layered, audio-reactive visuals.

Plus, all workshop participants will have the opportunity to show their work at the next dadageek Student Exhibition on September 25th, 2026!

Here is a wip of a midi visualizer we've been working on. This component will pull in MIDI from @ableton or the @rolandglobal kit and then process that data in @touchdesigner to create an interactive art piece. The visualizations are guided by a set of rules and probabilities that guide the layout of the composition, so no two performances will ever be the same.

"The Garden, Elsewhere" is an interactive installation that invites participants to create unique and ephemeral plant life by tracking movements, colors and forms. Designed for @crockerart Crocker Ball 2025, the installation utilizes @touchdesigner to track participants movements in real time via mediapipe before creating visuals using custom LoRAs and Stream Diffusion to generate a realtime visual plant. This single bit of art is then run through a cache/select network to allow a single input to expand into a 'garden' of images. On site this installation was led by @saccdt dancers and ball participants. Thanks to entertainment sponsors @roachcampbell and the Crocker art museum for having us 🥰

We collected all of the production photos and clips from Contour and dropped them in chronological order - here is all of Contour in :90 :) Amazing to get to collab with @jakecastro1 and @artauntiefaith. Recap of a really fun show we were part of in support of @elevatedancecompany in Stockton, CA. We created a series of scenes to transform a gallery space in the Haggin Museum into an ethereal forest. We utilized custom LORAs and Checkpoints into Comfy UI to create looping, evolving forest scenes, then into Touch Designer to add interactive particle fields that respond to the dancers as well as user controls. Finally we mapped these images onto the gallery walls to create an immersive performance space for these amazing dancers. by @a.m.architect_

🎨Art Pop Up: Contour is an interactive installation that deconstructs and reassembles form, identity, and sound. A sculpted and rotating foam structure frames embedded video screens, where real-time facial tracking captures and fragments participants’ expressions. Simultaneously, the participant’s voice is recorded, engineered, and restructured into evolving audio compositions that fill the space.

Through visual, sonic, and spatial layering, Contour invites participants to witness their own presence reinterpreted—fragmented and reformed across shifting surfaces, screens, and sounds. The installation offers a landscape of continuous transformation, blurring the lines between observer and observed.
