We love working with Australian natives. These Anigozanthos, commonly know as Kangaroo Paw are a proven performer and work well in so many garden styles from native bush garden to tropical. With so many amazing colours and sizes available we picked 13 different cultivars for this beautiful bush garden in the Gold Coast Hinterland. They provide a statement against the back drop of the natural bush just beyond the garden and follow the driveway up to the house. taken in Tallebudgera Valley by @a.schwartz_design

Local walks provide an abundance of inspiration. Since moving home to #cabaritabeach on the #tweedcoast we have been taking morning walks along the local beaches.
The #hardenbergiaviolacea grows a little differently here than in Melbourne. Larger, rounder and lighter in colour the foliage was unrecognisable until I noticed the flowers this morning. The bees love them all the same. taken in Norries Cove by @a.schwartz_design

A master class in material selection and texture contrast. Brick, timber, breeze block, tiles and the intersection of organic form. Some of my favourite materials and a great example of integrating the landscape into the built environment. 📷 @jamesfloriophotography taken in Guangxi Guilin China by @a.schwartz_design
