Whole lot of love and a whole lot of middle fingers……

A call back to our much loved wild little stretch of Migjorn, the Robinson Crusoe promise of shoes off, crystal waters….however, some lingering solar eclipse mischief, whipped up some mad max, sweaty storms, with a wild sea and an eerie cast to the sky. Elemental 🌚

The sunshine came after the rain, the kinetic energy returned, kids carried on squabbling, the water resumed normal frequency 🌀

This summer was frightening. How many more times can we count on the predictable things, the sunshine after the rain, the seasons turn, the privilege to travel.

Fig stalls, tree hugs, rock jumps. A reminder to keep a hand on the reassuring things.

10,000 pints under big blue skies. Boats, birds, music, muscles, chips & chowders. Island hopping, pub crawling, free range children, midnight crabbing, unicorns at breakfast. Samphire, surfing, crystal waters, sweaty saunas, a few more pints and a whole lot of craic.

France en deux 🌿 🐸 🌻 🦐 🐚 🦀

From a steaming hot, middle earth, seeking shade in woodland paths, walking through fields of dancing butterflies to a different pace, an ancient peace. To fern flanked rocks, bubbling weirs, languid skinny dips, riverbank picnics with frogs & dragonflies the only souls in sight 🌿

To the bustle and breeze of the Atlantic coast, Salty, big skies, bigger beaches, surfing waves, pine forests, bicycle odysseys, moules frites mountains, oyster feasts and shithead beats. Moments of peace in a hot hectic, furiously frenzied, sultry July……Languid dips, working trips; wine, pots and cloth. Sourcing, searching, ever researching. Dinner mandate; Al Fresco. Marshes suppers, canal picnics, blackberry picks, allotment fish and chips.

DE.SIGN 📐 quickest lick of Clerkenwell Design Week because colour really does make me happy….always a pleasure to see alchemist Simon @_colourmakesmehappy at play, recreating his Hastings ice cream counter of colour and spreading joy via his beautifully sludgy, neapolitan palette in the corner of a Clerkenwell Church. Delicious 🍦
