MY HOME
This show was an absolute dream. I remember seeing them for the first time in October of 2018 in Long Island on the Bandito Tour. I sat in the nosebleeds for that show and thought I’d never be able to get floor tickets. Now, six years later, not only did I get floor tickets, I got barricade, touched both of their hands, got on the big screen, got a wave from Josh, and had the time of my life!! To say this was the best day of my life is an understatement.
This band has saved me in countless ways and I don’t know what my life would be if I didn’t listen to their music.
I met some of the most incredible and kindest people that day. We traded bracelets, did each others makeup, stood in line for hours together, and cried, screamed, and sang the songs together. Every day I wish I could go back.
Getting up at 3 AM and getting back home at 4 AM the next day was 1000% worth it and I would do it a million times again.

Recently, I found out that one of my worst nightmares could become a true possibility: an AI data center in the county I have lived in my entire life.
The local town hall held a public hearing about it, so I attended.
Previously, I had five pages written as a speech, but once I learned that I only had two minutes, I had to cut it down a bit, so I did my best.
My voice shook, my heart was racing, and it’s obvious I was nervous to speak in front of that many people, but this was too important to me.
I do not want to see an AI data center be built in the place I grew up in, and I’m not the only one.
So many more people showed up than I thought there would be, and I thank every person who did, because we ended up getting a 3 year moratorium on this data center. Of course, I don’t want to see it being built at all, but this is progress, and it’s because of the people.

Please, if you have the chance, show up to your local town hall, protest, sign petitions, call your elected officials, and stop the building of AI data centers in the places that people call home.
Your voice matters, and this is proof of that.

America demands Trump and Elon to take their “Hands Off” of democracy and our country!
With an estimated 3.5 million people in attendance nationwide, the historic “Hands Off” protest was the largest one-day, nationwide display of resistance against the current presidential administration, Trump, and Musk. At least 1,300 rallies were held across all 50 states this past Sunday, April 5.

I attended my local protest. I made a double-sided sign, with one side stating “Peace is cheaper”, and the other side stating “Resist Fascism”. It started out as a rally, and ended with us standing on the streets and protesting. At least hundreds of people showed up. There were sounds of people chanting and cars honking in agreement. The peaceful protests across the country that day showed that America will not kneel to fascism in America. We will not let history repeat itself.

I urge you to do the same. Take action against the rise of fascism, and the fall of democracy. America gained its independence from a king, we cannot go back to having one again, and we definitely cannot have a dictatorship. Call your representatives, sign petitions, boycott, use your voice, protest, stand up for what’s right. The people have the power.
