Truly honoured to receive the Youth Impact Award at the 2026 @sscopemedia Gala

The last 3 years have been an incredible journey. To be recognised in a room full of people who have been doing this work for 10/15 years means a lot.

Thank you to @salman.sundahan , @jibrillliant and @abdiwho who have opened doors and set the standard not only for me but for the next generation.

Big love to my team and everyone who’s supported the journey so far. You know who you are and I wouldn’t be here without any of you.

Urban Rise is bigger than me and we can’t do this alone. Massive shoutout for all the love and support

We are just getting started!!! by @aa_ahmed4

Award Nominee — SSCOPE Gala & Awards 2026

We’re pleased to announce Abdirahman Ahmed as an award nominee for the SSCOPE Gala & Impact Awards 2026.

Over the past three years, Abdirahman has been building Urban Rise — a social enterprise rooted in community, focused on teaching financial literacy and empowering young people from underserved communities across London and the UK. Through practical workshops, community events, and accessible resources, Urban Rise has supported over 2,000 young people to build real-world financial confidence and develop healthier financial habits.

His work focuses on behaviour as much as knowledge, helping young people navigate everyday financial challenges, make informed decisions, and plan for their futures with clarity. Through this approach, he continues to close the financial education gap and equip the next generation with the tools they need for long-term financial stability and independence.

Well, this is an award I didn’t see coming‼️

Honoured and humbled to share that I’ve been selected as one of the 100 Top Inspiring Muslims: Next Generation in the UK by The Aziz Foundation and Emerald Network.

This recognition is a true privilege. As many of you know, @aaurbanrise is deeply rooted in the community, and that’s where our focus remains.

We’re committed to empowering those around us, and this award is a reminder of the impact we can create together.

But the work doesn’t stop here - we’re just getting started.

Thank you to @azizfndn The Aziz Foundation and @emerald.network for making this possible and celebrating inspiring individuals. by @aa_ahmed4

Alhamdulillah Always🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

The 2023 IDEATORR Pitch night was like a movie. It was an intense 8-week program that culminated in a celebration pitch night, with my family and friends in the crowd.

The most important person in the world saw me pitch for the first time ever. Hoyo, I love you ❤️❤️❤️

I’m thrilled to say that I brought it home and secured 1st place and funding for Urban Rise.

This is just the beginning - the real work starts now.

Thank you @youthbeyondborders @jasperkain, and especially @barakngoma. For the opportunity, guidance and patience shown to me and my fellow cohort. by @aa_ahmed4
