What a night. 💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the launch of Aqoon.

It was so special to see people from different backgrounds, professions and stages of life come together with one shared purpose: to support, uplift and create opportunities for our community.

We hope you left feeling inspired, connected and excited for what’s ahead.

This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to continue building this community together, insha’Allah. 💛

i still haven’t processed winning an award and i think it’s mainly because of how much dua i’ve constantly made about this work and when moments like this unfold it’s a true blessing because others are feeling the impact i’m trying to create and make. i’m a little emosh aha typing this because i LOVE LOVE my work and it’s so important that people understand that charity shouldn’t be glamorised and delivering aid isn’t an aesthetic but instead should be taken in as to what are YOU doing to be that change for those less fortunate.

Every video, every post I have made is for it to reflect into donations and impact. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every single beautiful soul who has supported me and attended my events and motivated me. Mainly, thank you to hooyo macaan for being my rock and queen because without you wallahi i don’t know where i would be and know what to do when things get emotional and tough trying to make that difference. Thank you to my friends and family for always keeping me firm and motivating me 🥺💞

@sscopemedia thank you for this award and this will be a moment i’ll always treasure and i take this award as a motivation to keep dreaming and saving more lives 🥹

Thank you to my somali community for supporting me i’ve never been more proud to be somali and represent goodness.

May allah swt keep my intentions pure and continue to grant me patient and more success 🥺

Congratulations to all the other nominees as you guys are all truly incredible in your respected industries ✨

Truly honoured to receive the Youth Impact Award at the 2026 @sscopemedia Gala

The last 3 years have been an incredible journey. To be recognised in a room full of people who have been doing this work for 10/15 years means a lot.

Thank you to @salman.sundahan , @jibrillliant and @abdiwho who have opened doors and set the standard not only for me but for the next generation.

Big love to my team and everyone who’s supported the journey so far. You know who you are and I wouldn’t be here without any of you.

Urban Rise is bigger than me and we can’t do this alone. Massive shoutout for all the love and support

We are just getting started!!!

Award Nominee — SSCOPE Gala & Awards 2026

We’re pleased to announce Abdirahman Ahmed as an award nominee for the SSCOPE Gala & Impact Awards 2026.

Over the past three years, Abdirahman has been building Urban Rise — a social enterprise rooted in community, focused on teaching financial literacy and empowering young people from underserved communities across London and the UK. Through practical workshops, community events, and accessible resources, Urban Rise has supported over 2,000 young people to build real-world financial confidence and develop healthier financial habits.

His work focuses on behaviour as much as knowledge, helping young people navigate everyday financial challenges, make informed decisions, and plan for their futures with clarity. Through this approach, he continues to close the financial education gap and equip the next generation with the tools they need for long-term financial stability and independence.
