what a privilege it is to be exhausted by an ambition of your own choosing

to summit all up..

step 1. have FUN ✅
step 2. cross the finish line ✅

no trending audio so y'all can fully immerse yourself in the whimsy that is running an ultra with me, pokey aid station stops & all. cause what can i say? my husband is the fucking best so of course i'm gonna linger, pickles need their proper appreciation time, volunteers need to be thanked, tunes have to get jammed to. i've spent hours alone on the trail leading up to this – i'll be yapping it all the way up thank you very much. (an hour+ of just loitering is a little much i'll admit. will work on that next time lol)

11/10 will be doing this race again, i had the best time ever, it went so well im actually considering longer distances?! wilddd. all that fresh mountain air is getting to me.

some other highlights for my journal:
- talking about Brandon Sanderson, harry potter & fan fics with a pal i was leap frogging with/all the chats i had with runners in general (like genuinely the best people ever)
- not losing any toenails this training/race prep
- the temperature. plz god let me only race in cool weather
- beating my last ultra time while doing a significantly harder race
- midnight sun playing as i finish 🐬☀️🌴

okay ta-ta for now. lysm. see ya at the next one! xo
