The best part of doing hard things is the journey. Over the last few months @aampls and I have truly been blessed to live out our dream of taking our truck camper back and forth to Mammoth to get her prepped for Mammoth Trail Fest.

We head up this week to settle in, get one more round of altitude in the legs, and enjoy the festivities.

Next Saturday is her big day 😭😭❤️❤️ 50K with the most altitude and elevation she’s ever raced, and I get the easy job of crewing, cheering, and ensuring adequate sour snacks as long as she’s out there.

Sunday I’ll run the 26K, which mostly just gives me a small taste of what she covered the day before.

Watching her train for this has been the best part of the whole thing. The early alarms, the long climbs, the days she laced up when she absolutely did not feel like it. Saturday is just the part everyone else gets to see.

It’s been a decades long dream of ours to be able to do stuff like this, and there is no one I’d rather share this life with.

Go get it, babe.

After many weeks away from home, nothing beats running some miles up and down The Strand. s/o @aampls for PRing some segments even if it was 630am on a Sunday 🥵🥵

12 years of adventures, new places, big dreams, incredible days, and a whole lot of life lived together.

You’re my best friend, my favorite person to experience this crazy life with, and without a doubt the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

There’s nobody else I’d rather keep exploring, growing, laughing, and getting old with.

12 years down, and I love you more now than I ever have.

Here’s to all the adventures we haven’t had yet. ❤️
