I am so incredibly happy to announce that my painting “Rainy Day Rebel” was accepted into the International Association of Pastel Societies’ 49th Open Division Online Exhibition!
This piece is one of my favorites as it shows my oldest son’s love for creating which he still has all of these years later at 9. I have entered this piece into at least 3 other art calls and it was never the one chosen, so this is really special, and a good sign to keep trying when you feel strongly about a certain piece. A huge thank you to the jurors!
Both the IAPS Open Division and Master Division Exhibitions can be viewed from the IAPS website. Inclusion into this show gives me one more point towards IAPS Master Circle. I am now at 2 out of the 5 required!

I’m delighted to share that Pier to Forever has received an Honorable Mention in Art & Color 365 Magazine’s 2026 Landscapes/Seascapes Competition!

This painting was inspired by a sunrise at Daytona Beach. The warmth of the rising sun, the reflections dancing across the water, and the atmosphere of that early morning were what first drew me to paint it.

I’m especially pleased to see this painting continuing to receive recognition.
