My brothers and sisters, Be encouraged!!

Hebrews and James are beautiful neighbors in the word of God.

Hebrews 12 says ““Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Also says “And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.””
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:5-6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Lastly James 1:3-4 says the testing of our faith produces steadfastness. Let it have its full effect so that you may be perfect and complete , lacking in nothing.

Which is making sure we are unwavering/firm as defined.

We will always have the ability to grow. Yet God’s word is showing us that the yes to the daily trials we face is making sure we are here to last. The discipline is to make us stronger. Yet we must count it all joy and take the challenge head on. Willing to serve and abide in him through the chaos. To keep pushing no matter the new obstacle.

Saying yes to the growth in your faith is saying yes to your spiritual maturity , yes to discipline, yes to growing in love, yes to driving out fear in your life.

Tough times hurt.. but it’s about how you respond to adversity that tells if you’ll grow.. or stay and face your pain over and over again.

How will you respond when things aren’t going well in your life?

Will you hide? Will run back when you’ve been so far ahead?
Or will you fight for perseverance and strength?
Will you really let God have your storm?

Maturity is seeking God in the midst of your issues. In the midst of your adversity. It’s trusting him in tough times ; often times it is there helping you not be affected as much the next step you take. It’s wanting you to believe one , that one of Satan’s biggest weapons (FEAR) will not prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)
To truly look fear or “your storm” in the eyes, and say “Satan, you have no power here.”. And believe it. Two. To have a eternal hope, forever fixated on God so that his peace will surpass all understanding.
Count it all joy! James says in James 1:2-4. ““Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Point out the Devil and tell him he has no power in your life and circumstances. Yet say “I trust in the Lord! For that, I am safe. The fear of man , may cause a snare.. but I trust in the Lord. One who cannot be shaken.”.
Acts 2:25, Proverbs 29:25.

Inspired by my son Hezekiah, it is a story of a young boy who faces different challenges throughout his day, and chooses to embrace humility by putting others before himself! This book is more than just a book, it is JOY based warfare! It is a tool that brings light to households and inspires conversation around the dinner table. Happy 1 Year Wedding Anniversary to my love!!

Like the first picture, nothing has tested my faith and belief more than us coming together! I think it’s truly remarkable to look at that year, and see how many things were counted against us. We went from plans…to delays..setbacks and heartbreak to redemption and triumph! Uncomfortable confrontation to joyous celebration…and amidst the incredible highs and devastating lows, love is all about choosing to walk together no matter the weather. You are my choice. Every single day. If you’re reading this, the cost you pay in covenant will always be worth it—every sacrifice will be worth it when you have someone that will get on his knee and commit to a life of loving you unconditionally. And will stay on his knees when it’s time to war in spirit!

2️⃣7️⃣

The theme of this year is “Global Not Worldly”.
Not only is it the theme of year 27, it’s also the theme of my new @thekingscornercreative creative shirts that are launching this week!

The message stems from verses like John 15:19 , where it brings distinction between who I’m to be as a believer and who I’m not. The understanding that people pleasing has to die. There’s many verses in the gospels that indicate that as well as his kingdom, his ways being greater than what man can naturally perceive. It’s a distinction that is unavoidable.

I’ve sabotaged parts of my life for being ashamed of who I am. Creatively , how God trained me up spiritually, and I’ve pulled back on being me. Because being me sometimes gets me unfollowed. It sometimes puts me at odds with being confident in being myself. I can say today I authentically love God and deny my flesh everyday from laying hands on people that I just want to prove a point to lol. Sometimes my mind goes to serve people with their own medicine, but that’s self righteous and hypocritical. Praise be, that the Lord has blessed me with perspective and the ability to slow down. To see him again with fresh eyes. I have a beautiful wife and son whom I love much. I’m breathing with health and I know God and he knows me! That’s good with me. So as I step into a new season to make disciples of all nations and be constantly discipled by the Holy Spirit and wise people… just know it’ll always be about being the best version of me. Loving God unashamed and creating freely. And at the same time gaining perspective to learn how to approach life well. The best version of me will always be the one who is surrendered to the best hands.

“Global Not Worldly” is about reaching others with the good news with wisdom, love, grace , mercy, humility while still being without compromise. It’s a stance in integrity.

So year 27, let’s get it!! I’m looking forward to seeing all of what God does. 💙💚🌎✝️
