For most of my life, I felt different.

I spent years trying to understand why I struggled with certain things, why my mind never seemed to switch off, why I felt emotions so intensely, why I became overwhelmed so easily and why I always felt like everybody else had been given an instruction manual for life that I somehow never received.

Recently, I received a formal diagnosis of both ADHD and Autism.

It has been emotional, validating, difficult, liberating and honestly a lot to process.

But for the first time in my life, I don’t feel broken.

I feel like I finally understand myself.

Today, I’ve shared one of the most personal videos I’ve ever made on my YouTube channel, where I open up about my diagnosis, my symptoms, my experiences, my decision to try medication and why this diagnosis became the final piece of the puzzle.

This journey hasn’t changed who I am.

I’m still me.

The only difference is that now I understand myself better.

And there is something incredibly freeing about that.

Different doesn’t mean broken. 🧩✨

1 year ago today, I uploaded my first video to YouTube and officially started Healing With Aaron. 🎥✨

At the time, I had no idea where it would lead. My first video was one of the most personal things I had ever shared publicly, where I opened up about my experiences of childhood trauma, mental health, my weight-loss journey and healing. I just knew that I wanted to create something meaningful, share what I’d learned through my own experiences, and hopefully make other people feel a little less alone.

1 year later, I’ve posted more than 40 long-form videos and over 500 Shorts, reached more than 408,000 views, connected with people all over the world, and created opportunities that I genuinely could never have predicted when I first sat down in front of that camera.

But more than anything, this past year has changed me. It has pushed me outside of my comfort zone, taught me to trust myself more, helped me find my voice, challenged me, humbled me, and reminded me that sometimes your life can change very quickly when you finally give yourself permission to participate in it.

I’m incredibly grateful to every single person who has watched, liked, subscribed, commented, hyped, shared my videos, sent me messages or supported what I’m building in any way. Thank you for being part of Year 1. ❤️

I have also filmed a special one-year anniversary video reflecting on everything this journey has taught me, some of what happened behind the scenes, and what I have planned for Year 2. That will be coming to YouTube in the next few days.

Year 1 was about finding my voice.

Year 2 is going to be about finally letting you hear all of it. ✨

Be careful what you wish for… because sometimes you might actually get it. 😂✨

21st March 2024 - 192 lbs ⬇️

Two years ago today, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life — I chose to have weight loss surgery.

At the time, I was so unhappy within myself that the decision didn’t scare me… because nothing felt worse than how I was already feeling inside.

I couldn’t have imagined then how much my life would transform — not just externally, but internally.

This journey gave me more than physical change.

It gave me:
• self-belief
• emotional growth
• healing
• purpose

Today, I live a life filled with abundance, gratitude, and incredible people.

I’ve reconnected with my inner child.
I no longer let fear lead my life.
And I finally choose the things that bring me joy and emotional fulfilment.

Everything you see today started with one decision… and the courage to take one step.

To everyone who has supported me — thank you. Truly. From the bottom of my heart 🤍

And just a reminder:

Life unfolds through choice.
Nothing is out of reach.
One step at a time.

I’d Rather It Be an EFFING DISASTER 😂

I’d rather look back at my life and think, “Well, that was a complete disaster,” than spend the rest of it wondering what might have happened if I’d actually tried. 😂

How many times have you talked yourself out of something because you were afraid it might not work out?

Sometimes you have to stop waiting for the perfect moment, take the risk and figure things out along the way.

Because playing it safe might feel comfortable, but it can also keep you exactly where you are.

And even if things don’t go to plan, at least you gave yourself a chance.

Bet on yourself. You might just surprise yourself. ❤️

How many times have you told yourself, “I’ll do it when I feel ready”?

When the timing is right. When things settle down. When you finally feel confident enough.

But here’s the thing… there’s rarely a perfect time to do anything.

Ready isn’t a feeling. It’s a DECISION.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Sometimes you have to take that first step, even when you’re uncertain, and figure things out along the way.

And think about everything you’ve already been through. All those situations you once thought you’d never get through… yet somehow, here you are. ❤️

ONE YEAR FROM NOW

One year from now, your life is going to exist either way.

The time will pass whether you take the risk or whether you don’t. So you might as well bet on yourself anyway.

Maybe it works out. Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe everything goes completely wrong and you have to start again. 😂

But at least you tried.

And sometimes the thing that doesn’t work out becomes the experience that takes you to the thing that is meant for you. ❤️

ONE YEAR CHANGED EVERYTHING.

One year ago, I sat in front of a camera with absolutely no idea where any of this would lead… 😂❤️
