You’re Doing Better Than You Think.

Maybe you’re not where you want to be yet. Maybe life hasn’t worked out quite the way you imagined it would.

But think about everything you’ve already survived. The difficult situations, the uncertainty, and those nights when you genuinely had no idea how things were going to work out.

And somehow, you found a way through.

That doesn’t mean you got everything right. God knows I’ve made some questionable decisions along the way! But those experiences are part of your story, too.

Sometimes we become so focused on everything we haven’t achieved that we forget to acknowledge everything we’ve already overcome.

So give yourself some credit. You might be doing better than you think. ❤️

Not Every Argument Deserves Your Energy. 💯

One thing putting myself online has taught me is that everyone will have an opinion about you. Some will be supportive, others will be critical, and some will judge you without knowing anything about you.

But I’ve realised something important: you can’t spend your life trying to manage how other people perceive you.

You can listen to criticism without feeling obligated to defend yourself against every opinion. And sometimes, choosing not to respond is the most powerful response of all.

Let them have their opinions. You’ve got a life to live. 💚

My ADHD Brain NEVER Switches Off 😂🧠

Having a creative brain and ADHD is quite the combination. 😂🧠

Sometimes my friends will mention something I said in one of my videos, and I’ll just stare at them thinking… WHAT VIDEO WAS THAT?! 😭

By the time I’ve finished creating something, my brain has already moved on to the next idea.

And the moment I finally get that idea out of my system and experience approximately five minutes of peace?

ANOTHER ONE APPEARS. 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one whose brain works like this?!

I’d Rather It Be an EFFING DISASTER 😂

I’d rather look back at my life and think, “Well, that was a complete disaster,” than spend the rest of it wondering what might have happened if I’d actually tried. 😂

How many times have you talked yourself out of something because you were afraid it might not work out?

Sometimes you have to stop waiting for the perfect moment, take the risk and figure things out along the way.

Because playing it safe might feel comfortable, but it can also keep you exactly where you are.

And even if things don’t go to plan, at least you gave yourself a chance.

Bet on yourself. You might just surprise yourself. ❤️

READY ISN’T A FEELING. IT’S A DECISION.

How many times have you told yourself, “I’ll do it when I feel ready”?

When the timing is right. When things settle down. When you finally feel confident enough.

But here’s the thing… there’s rarely a perfect time to do anything.

Ready isn’t a feeling. It’s a DECISION.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Sometimes you have to take that first step, even when you’re uncertain, and figure things out along the way.

And think about everything you’ve already been through. All those situations you once thought you’d never get through… yet somehow, here you are. ❤️

So what’s stopping you this time?

Don’t spend your life waiting for the perfect moment until that moment has passed.

What’s ONE thing you’ve been putting off because you’re waiting to feel ready? 👀

ONE YEAR FROM NOW

One year from now, your life is going to exist either way.

The time will pass whether you take the risk or whether you don’t. So you might as well bet on yourself anyway.

Maybe it works out. Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe everything goes completely wrong and you have to start again. 😂

But at least you tried.

And sometimes the thing that doesn’t work out becomes the experience that takes you to the thing that is meant for you. ❤️

IT’S FINALLY LIVE 😂

It only took me over a month… 😂

My one-year YouTube anniversary video is FINALLY live!

ONE YEAR CHANGED EVERYTHING.

One year ago, I sat in front of a camera with absolutely no idea where any of this would lead… 😂❤️

40+ long-form videos, 500+ Shorts and over 408,000 YouTube views later, a lot has changed — including me.

Tomorrow, I’m finally sharing my one-year anniversary video. I’ll be looking back at what this past year has taught me, how my life has changed, what putting myself online has taught me, and what’s coming next.

And going into Year 2, I’ve made a decision.

I’m going to stop holding back quite so much and let you see a lot more of the person behind Healing With Aaron — the personality, the humour, the opinions and probably some inappropriate jokes along the way. 😂

You’ve met Healing With Aaron. Now you’re going to meet Aaron. 👀

1 year ago today, I uploaded my first video to YouTube and officially started Healing With Aaron. 🎥✨

At the time, I had no idea where it would lead. My first video was one of the most personal things I had ever shared publicly, where I opened up about my experiences of childhood trauma, mental health, my weight-loss journey and healing. I just knew that I wanted to create something meaningful, share what I’d learned through my own experiences, and hopefully make other people feel a little less alone.

1 year later, I’ve posted more than 40 long-form videos and over 500 Shorts, reached more than 408,000 views, connected with people all over the world, and created opportunities that I genuinely could never have predicted when I first sat down in front of that camera.

But more than anything, this past year has changed me. It has pushed me outside of my comfort zone, taught me to trust myself more, helped me find my voice, challenged me, humbled me, and reminded me that sometimes your life can change very quickly when you finally give yourself permission to participate in it.

I’m incredibly grateful to every single person who has watched, liked, subscribed, commented, hyped, shared my videos, sent me messages or supported what I’m building in any way. Thank you for being part of Year 1. ❤️

I have also filmed a special one-year anniversary video reflecting on everything this journey has taught me, some of what happened behind the scenes, and what I have planned for Year 2. That will be coming to YouTube in the next few days.

Year 1 was about finding my voice.

Year 2 is going to be about finally letting you hear all of it. ✨

Be careful what you wish for… because sometimes you might actually get it. 😂✨

Here’s to what comes next. 🥂

Your Past Doesn’t Have to Decide Your Future

The intensity of a relationship isn’t a measure of how healthy it was.

And the difficulty of leaving doesn’t mean you were meant to stay.

Every healthy boundary you set.
Every unhealthy pattern you recognise.
Every decision you make to choose peace over chaos…

…is a step towards healing.

Your past doesn’t have to decide your future.

One day, the relationship that once felt impossible to walk away from…

…will simply become a chapter in your story.

Not the whole story. ❤️

Strong Attachment Doesn’t Mean Healthy Love

The strength of your attachment isn’t a measure of how healthy the relationship was.

Trauma bonds can feel incredibly powerful.

You may still miss them.
You may still think about them.
You may still grieve the future you imagined together.

That’s okay.

Understanding the psychology behind a trauma bond doesn’t instantly erase your feelings…

But it can give you something incredibly valuable:

Perspective. ❤️

Healthy Love Doesn’t Ask You to Lose Yourself

Healthy love doesn’t make your world smaller.

It helps it grow.

It encourages your independence.
Welcomes honest conversations.
And helps you become more of yourself…

…not less.

If you’ve never experienced that kind of love, please don’t assume it doesn’t exist.

Healing changes what feels familiar. ❤️
