My process has parallels with Japanese Sumi-e: I respond intuitively, with each mark shaped by the emotions or words I’m given, as well as by my own response to the interaction between the surface and the tool in my hand.

#Augtober - that feeing in late August when you want to slow down after hectic summer days and kinda get well… cosy? Sea and sand are still on your mind but the heat you want is a glow not a scorching - still picnic weather but also warmth from soft blankets and hoodies in the evening. I’m ready.
