Lucia’s mad scene — where music becomes pure emotion 🤯

Ever wonder why one cannot find the cadenza in the vocal score where Lucia sings with the flute in the famous "mad scene" in opera “Lucia di Lammermoor”? This is because the cadenza was not written by Donizetti but was likely composed by Mathilde Marchesi for a performance at the Palais Garnier in Paris. Watch soprano Aubry Ballarò perform the “secret” in this clip now!

✨ Only 2️⃣ days to premiere — don’t miss out on this bel canto opera! Grab your tickets now!

“Aubry Ballarò as Violetta is extraordinary…she brings that same warmth and depth offstage as she does in the role. It’s rare to see someone so naturally aligned with a character—
𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑽𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒂.” 💙

— Daniel Moroyoqui

It was incredibly special to read this, because in this production, I truly have never felt more like Violetta.

Working on La Traviata with @opera.columbus was an absolute thrill and honor, and I’m endlessly grateful to the artists and team who brought this production to life. 💙

👀 Acts II & III photos coming soon 👀
