After waiting by the mailbox, we were soooo excited to receive our physical copies of @marieclairemaisonitalia November and December issues - featuring our beloved Abba Treehouse. It has been such an honor to be featured and get to share our special home with the world, and now holding the physical copies of the magazines and flipping through them is pretty damn cool. Thank you to @marieclairemaisonitalia and massive thank you’s to the dream team - @francescodolfophotography, @superroby, @bustedhair and special thanks to @living_inside_agency 🧡 #abbatreehouse #interiordesign #decor #cabins #marieclairemaisonitalia #🇮🇹 taken in Crestline, California by @abbaresidences

Texture party in the Mountain Room at #abbatreehouse - in addition to our kitchen and game room work here we just did a little re-styling in this room ahead of fall. We are still in love with these $10 (yes, $10!) chairs we found at a consignment shop on the mountain. Ready for some fall and winter temps so we can actually get into that firewood stack 🍁🔥🖤

One of the very first things we did the first night we spent in the house last November was take off the upper cabinet doors - we love open shelving in our kitchens and usually end up taking off upper doors in our remodels. Open shelving can sometimes be tricky with styling vs everyday functionality but the key to us is featuring pieces that we use frequently - it’s a mix of antiques and everyday kitchenware but when we are here we live in this kitchen and everything out in the open gets a lot of use! You can group by type/color/anything goes - just try things out and see what works for your kitchen. Do you prefer open shelving or closed upper cabinets?

Happy Monday everyone - we wanted to share the first looks of our fully completed kitchen refresh at #abbatreehouse (swipe for before!). We are pretty much freaking out because it feels so amazing in here!!! This kitchen is where we spend the majority of our time in the cabins and now it’s even more inviting and lovely - we’ll get more into the nitty gritty of process for the different parts of the project soon - more to come ✨
