5 years ago I joined The Community Collective as a member. This month I’m launching my first program with Paz Pisarski 🏵

Never in a million years did I think that path would lead here.

Over the past year, Paz and I have helped hundreds of companies build communities from scratch. This month, we’re handing you the exact same process.

Most founders know communities don’t magically run themselves. But many still treat them like an afterthought.

They get whatever time’s left after the “real work,” are propped up by one person doing everything, and then we wonder why there’s crickets.

Passion isn’t enough.

Thriving communities are built on smart systems, clear boundaries and models that make them sustainable.

I’m officially a Coach with @the.communitycollective 🎉✨

From the corner of a Zoom call to a Community Coach - what a ride! 🧡

Back in 2021, sitting in my empty cowork space during lockdown, I joined a virtual meetup hosted by @pazpisarski and the crew at @the.communitycollective.

If you look closely, you’ll see me in the corner, tired, teary, and realising for the first time that I wasn’t in the real estate game… I was in the people game.

I was a community builder.

Those calls changed everything. And The Community Collective cohort taught me that community building isn’t chaos, it’s craft.

With the right systems and rituals, it gives you more freedom, not less.

Fast forward to today and I’m beyond excited to share that I’m stepping into a new chapter as a Coach with The Community Collective helping founders, creators and leaders turn their networks into thriving, high-trust communities. 🙌🏽

Over the last few years I’ve:
🌱 Built @theimpactcollab, a national membership for 150+ impact-led founders that now runs in just 4 hours a week.
🌍 Co-led community at @weareoneroof, a global community which has onboarded 1,500+ founders and 22 Ambassadors.

A dear friend of mine @anna_sheppard_verified - all round kind human and founder of @bambuddha_group and @workingkindcollective - sent me this poem this morning.

Today my heart breaks, for women, minorities and our LGBTIQ+ communities in the US. For the environment and four more years of Climate Inaction - and destruction. And for a world who is witnessing one of the worst examples of humankind being deemed as an “acceptable leader” of the free world.

Yes, today my heart is broken. But tomorrow is a new day, and we return to optimistic mindsets and committed hearts.

As Margaret Mead says, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

What a fantastic day in Sydney. The clouds cleared up and we found the most perfect shaded walk, even enjoyed some sprinklers cooling us down on one section.

Thank you to everyone who came along today to our Lunch & Walk with Good Humans - a collaboration between Humans For Good, The Impact Collab, Growth For Purpose and Soulful Bush Community.

Feeling grateful, energised and excited for the next one on Wednesday December 4th!

Great turnout, really awesome energy and chats with everyone I spoke to.

The highlights for me were leading the very personal acknowledgment of country and connection to land ceremony at the start, had some great feedback from people on how grounded they felt thereafter; as well as the occasional stops to ensure we all stayed together where we got to mix and chat with new people.

I’m particularly grateful that everyone showed up as their authentic selves, and we had some genuine connections, potentially some new friendships made.
