My reason for everything 🤍

The reason I’ve worked so hard to build this legacy is simple: my family.

This month has been one of the biggest months of our lives, and sitting here holding my son, I can’t help but reflect on the journey that got us here.

If I had listened to the naysayers, the gossip, the eye rolls, the people who said it would never work… none of this would have happened. I would have never earned over $1,000,000 in commissions. Yes, a MILLION dollars. From shampoo.

Not because I got lucky and not because it happened overnight. But because I stayed consistent when it would have been easier to quit.

And the craziest part? I’m not even at the very top of the compensation plan yet. This opportunity truly is available to anyone willing to put in the work.

When I started in 2019, I wasn’t chasing a million dollars. I was a college student looking for some extra grocery money.

I had less than 300 followers on IG, No experience, and No clue what I was doing.

I just started.

The compound effect is real: October 2022, I hit the 100K Club. July 2024, I hit the 500K Club, less than two years later, I hit Million Dollar Club.

This isn’t a story about fast success. It’s a story about consistency, grit, showing up when nobody is watching,And refusing to quit when things get hard.

Now every time I look at my son’s face, I feel so grateful for the life we’ve been able to create. The greatest gift this business has given me isn’t the money, it’s the flexibility, to never miss the moments that matter most.

Swipe to see where I was seven years ago ➡️

Before I started this business, waking up to a negative bank account was normal for me. I was a student, bartending, interning, and working over 100 hours a week… and somehow there was still more month than money.

I wasn’t dreaming about making a million dollars. I just wanted an extra couple hundred a month so I could pay my bills without panicking.

But even getting started felt impossible. Every time I thought I could, something else came up. Moving expenses. A hit and run on my car. A new tire. An unexpected exam payment. An emergency trip to the vet.

I look back now and wonder if God was putting the opportunity in front of me and asking, “Are you going to trust Me enough to take it?”

Seven years later, I’m standing in this photo having earned over $1 million in commissions from the business I almost talked myself out of starting. And honestly… that still feels surreal.

The money has never been the most important part of my life. But I’m also not going to pretend it hasn’t changed my life.

It helped us pay off debt, buy our home and invest. It gave us more choices and more security. And now, as a mom, it gives me the freedom to be home raising Wilson without a maternity leave end date hanging over my head.

I wanted slow mornings with my family. I wanted to be present for the little moments and still help provide for us. I wanted to build something that could change what life looked like for our family.

And maybe that’s why that negative bank account means just as much to me as the $1 million.

Because I don’t just see how little money I had. I see the girl who had no idea how she was going to get where she wanted to go… but finally got tired of standing in her own way.

She started. And then she kept going.

I mean 👀👀

“Oh you’re a military spouse with a little side gig… what have you made, $100?” Well… over $1 million in commissions, actually 🤣

It’s wild to me how some military spouse groups will say they support women building businesses, but then it’s “NO direct sales.” Events are fine, Small Business Saturday is fine… unless your business is direct sales.

I get it. There are some shitty companies out there. I’ve seen them firsthand and I’ve had people try to recruit me into them too 🤣 But assuming every company and every woman in this space is the same? Come on. It’s 2026.

And trust me, I used to be that person. I called it a scam, a pyramid scheme, all of it. Meanwhile, I was working over 100 hours a week between bartending, school, and an internship… and taking food from work because I couldn’t afford groceries.

I said yes because I needed a couple hundred extra dollars a month. I never imagined I’d be standing on a stage being inducted for earning over $1 million in commissions. And the woman inducted alongside me? Also a military spouse. Also over $1 million in commissions.

I’m not saying this is the right opportunity for everyone. I’m saying maybe we should stop deciding what another woman’s business is worth before we even understand it.

This “little shampoo business” has given my family options. My husband has served in the US Army for over 14 years, and he loves what he does. He can keep doing that while we build something for our family too.

And when I look at Wilson, I know he’ll never be my excuse to stop. He’s my reason to keep going. I’m building options, an example, and a legacy he can one day look back on and know his mom refused to give up 🥹

Thank you to my husband for supporting me. He & our little boy are such a big part of my why.

I was working over 100 hours a week being a full time bartender, intern and student taking food from work because I couldn't avoid groceries. I knew something had to change. I just had no idea that change would come in the form of shampoo. I was only looking for a few hundred extra dollars a month to help pay my bills. And here we are today.

My husband has served in the Army for 14 years. He loves what he does. together, we’ve always dreamed of building a legacy for our family. This business has given us time and financial flexibility we once couldn’t imagine & it’s helping us build the life we prayed for.

When I look at Wilson I know he will never be my excuse to stop. He is my reason to keep going. Every late night, every sacrifice, and every moment in the trenches becomes worth it when I think about the life we’re creating for him. I’m not just building a business. I’m building an example, options and a legacy he can one day look back on and understand that his mom refused to give up.

To my team and my customers, thank you for your trust for growing with me, & for allowing me to be part of your lives. When I look at this check, I don’t just see a number. I see the people behind it... the stories, the sacrifices, the late nights, the breakthroughs the lives we’ve impacted.

This is just the beginning. My goal now is to help as many women as possible stand on this stage, reach MDC and beyond, and build legacies of their own.

There is just so much to write in here... but this is home. People do make money here. There is no fast way to success, and anyone who promises you that is lying.

I’m tired of hearing, “You’ll feel like yourself again.”

Because the truth is… I don’t think I want to be the version of myself I was before.

I LOVE being a mom. I love this version of me. But I also love ambition. I love working hard. I love chasing big goals. I love the parts of me that existed long before I became someone’s mom.

I wasn’t expecting postpartum anxiety and OCD. I wasn’t expecting to feel soooo lost at times. And I definitely wasn’t expecting to have moments where I questioned who I even was anymore.

But I’m realizing I don’t have to choose between who I was and who I am now.I can honor the parts of Abbey that have always been there while becoming an entirely new version of her.

I’m a red personality 😂 I’m competitive. I work hard. I have an inability to do basically anything “casually.” I have high expectations for myself and big dreams for my life....Motherhood didn’t take those things away from me.

And honestly I’m sick of the narrative that you can’t be an incredible mom AND a successful entrepreneur.

You CAN love being a mom and love your career.
You CAN be present with your baby and still have huge goals.
You CAN pour into your family and still pour into yourself.
You CAN want both.

Becoming a mom does NOT mean losing every part of who you were before. And maybe... we aren’t supposed to “feel like ourselves again.”

Maybe we’re supposed to meet the new version of ourselves and bring the best parts of the old one with us. 🤍 and I'm so grateful that I will never have to choose between my career and my family. I'm so grateful that what I do allows me to do both and how the company I'm partnered with is so family friendly.

So if you’re in the same boat, here’s to us finding the best versions of ourselves...We may never be exactly who we were before…butttt maybe that’s the whole point. 🤍
