I didn’t realize how hard it would be to say goodbye to a house until it was time to say goodbye to this one. 🏡

It’s the little things I think I’ll remember most.

A baby taking baths in the kitchen sink who somehow became the kid riding his scooter down the driveway with pockets full of rocks he swore were treasure. His big brother right there beside him, showing him how to do everything first.

Magna-Tile towers in the living room. Monster trucks, blanket forts and superhero capes. Coloring at the kitchen table. Legos, so many Legos. Books we knew by heart. Hockey in the backyard, beetles caught in the pool and lizards we tried to trap.

A front door that never really stayed shut because there was usually a friend on the other side.

And then there was this neighborhood. Random Fridays that turned into everyone outside. Halloween. Christmas lights. Taco nights that lasted way longer than planned. The moms, the kids, the people who became such a big part of our everyday life. It really was lightning in a bottle.

My husband and I raised our boys here. We watched them grow up inside these walls, and I think that’s the part I wasn’t quite prepared to say goodbye to.

As hard as it is to close this chapter, we’re so excited for the one ahead. But this house will always hold such a special place in our hearts. It gave us six years of a life I know I’ll look back on forever, and I’m so grateful for every ordinary, beautiful bit of it.

We’re taking all the memories with us. We’re only leaving the walls behind. ❤️

And just like that, officially a hockey mom x2.

Matthew’s first 6U PDL game. A pretty special first for our littlest guy. Let’s go # 12!

a very good day to be a hockey mom.

first jamboree of the season + first one together as a team. four games, playoffs and a whole lot of hockey.

didn’t get the ending they wanted, but what a fun day watching these boys play.

proud of you, Michael. just getting started. ❤️ @flajrpanthers_8u
