End of the season. My first year with my own garden. Isn’t perfect but went into it with low expectations and had a huge lettuce moment. I have never eaten so much salad, as someone who has taken a long-term strike against lettuce it was quite the ride. If anyone knows what to do with all these green tomatoes let me know. 🤨 thanks to em for the support and watering/weeding/compost run. 💛 some of my favourite moments this summer were watering outside on hot summer evenings with my housemate C sitting on the pavement and my kid running around talking my ear off. I lost a crop of dahlias, cosmos, and potentially half of my peonies. beans are toast. next year will be fun. I might put cardboard on my entire front yard and piss off my neighbour 😘 by @abbrosy

Join us for an incredible evening of music, dancing, and community as we raise funds for the 2-Spirit Powwow taking place on September 12, 2026!

The Fourth Annual Two-Spirit Trans Nonbinary Storytelling Night. Call-out for speakers!

My highlight of 2025 was the honour of photographing my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding. They created such a beautiful couple of days to celebrate their love and life together with their friends and family; all at her childhood home. We ended the weekend with hours of dancing to music he wove together. I feel so lucky to love both of them - what a gift Matthew has been my whole life, and what a gift Maya has been the last few years of getting to know her. To quote someone on the internet, “I hope you enjoy growing old with him as much as I enjoyed growing up with him.” 💛 taken in Syilx Territory of the Okanagan Nation Alliance by @abbrosy

The December 29 page of Flo’s “one line a day” journal asks “what helps you get through a tough day?” and her 2024 answer was “going home”. What helps you get through a tough day? Tough year? Tough few years? What helps you pick your pieces up again? Thank you 4106 for holding us. For helping Flo have a safe, quiet place to come home to. For giving me a clean space to slowly recover, rest (gross!) and heal and learn how to live again in new ways. For our neighbours who always laughed and never shouted at eachother, for other neighbours who treated Flo with such tenderness and friendliness. For a shady little yard to have friends in. For a big kitchen to fit my siblings on big occasions (and little). For closets to steal clothes from. For beautiful light in the earliest of mornings after sleepless nights. For cozy rooms to snuggle in. For all the loved ones the door welcomed in and all the smooches on its step. Adored: the huggy-wuggies at 7 pm sharp, the longgg commute from office to bed, so so so much room to spread out and breathe and cry ?? and feel! I loved living here for two years. and in this area of town for eight. Flo gave the house a big wet kiss right on its lip liner door frame when we left tonight. by @abbrosy
