Happiest of birthdays to the formidable, hilarious, supportive, caring, hot, smart, witty, cowpokiest smart cookie Róisín. I am so grateful to have you in my life, and that you waltzed in when you did. The support and care and humour is next level. And it’s relaxing to know there will always be someone who can reach the high things for me. Sorry not sorry to the rest of the burr crew for using a group shot on a sappy post. <3

I haven't been doing as much dyeing over the past year or so, primarily because I have a large stockpile of thrifted/gifted/salvaged fabric that I want to make a dent in before getting new fabrics for dyeing. It's important to me to use what I have before getting something new. But I recently found a few sections from this fabric I dyed in 2020 at the bottom of a bin, and it's been really exciting incorporating these sections into some new works. I love the texture and warmth it's been adding to my pieces.

Swipe through to see a 42" x 24" piece that I just finished up; "Take It Slow", natural dyes, textiles and acrylic on sewn canvas.
