It’s been a while since I’ve snagged a storm drain kitten, so why not fit one more into 2025?!

After doing Coco’s intake this morning I hit the Starbucks drive-thru while on the phone with @hfoxdraughon about adoptions. I told her I saw a mom and baby by the drain and she told me to grab them (as any friend does).

They were both pretty untouchable, so I used what I had available in my car to lure and snag them on a whim.

Those items included:

- 2 sweaters
- a baby towel
- a kids toy duster
- an extension cord
- a fitted sheet
- a single can of cat food
- and a small kennel from an adoption event

Was it set up for success or ideal? Nope.
Did it work? YEP!

Now both mom and baby are together and currently decompressing out of the 32 degree weather we’re having tonight. Plus- we can stop the cycle of reproduction from two more female cats!

I did go back later just to be sure there were no more kittens and I did not see any, but I’ll keep checking just to be sure.

These little ladies will be headed into foster with @roxiraves and @twoheadedtiger where they can start their socialization and vetting from street cats to house cats ❤️ taken in Mobile, Alabama by @abclements_

Little load up this morning of ✨16✨ Mobile Cat Society kittens who are hitching a ride on the @meowsandmutts_rescue transport north!

Three of our crew were very special bottle babies. ❤️
Rigby & Morticia who came to @m_hutchinson33 quite literally on deaths door. They were a roller coaster, but she did an amazing job and they became so beautiful! And my sweet Bagheera baby boy who was found as a singleton. It’s always the hardest when you see them develop so much and send them off. But knowing that they will find amazing homes makes it all worth it!

Happy tails babies!

If you would like to help with gas money for this freedom ride for the kitties- send that over to Meows and Mutts here:

Venmo- @ meowsandmuttsrescue
PayPal- @ meowsandmutts

HUGE thank you to @gina_anig_gina for making the journey to deliver all of the kitties!! ❤️❤️

Happy tails, guys taken in Mobile, Alabama by @abclements_

If I have one hand on the camera and the other on the Diet Coke- who has the wheel? Jesus, of course.

In exactly one week I single handedly took down a little over 3,500 miles with my cat. We delivered adopted babies to their new families, did a lot of work on the in-betweens, ate an absurd amount of snacks, and got to break away from regular life for a little bit.

Only two weeks until we get to do it all over again 😝 taken in Anywhere and Everywhere by @abclements_
