The Guided Ride Series (GRS) is a free program that shows you how to navigate Greater Boston by bike. We'll guide you along the comfortable, separated bike infrastructure and demonstrate how easy, convenient, and fun it can be to ride a bike in Boston. Over the last 15 years, Greater Boston has built a growing network of robust infrastructure for bikes that overlaps significantly with the MBTA. The GRS will teach you where and how to make seamless connections with the T that increase your mobility options. Weekday and weekend options are available beginning in April 2024. Visit guidedrideseries.com to reserve your free spot. Each ride has room for eight people so sign up with friends, family, or colleagues to bring some added fun to the experience!

🚢 Our next stop on our ferry spotlight series is: Charlestown ⚓

Charlestown is home to two of Boston’s most iconic historic landmarks:
🏛️ Bunker Hill Monument, commemorating one of the first major battles of the Revolutionary War, and
⚓ USS Constitution (“Old Ironsides”), the world’s oldest commissioned warship still afloat.

We thought this would be appropriate way to close out the @sailboston Tall Ships celebration! Swipe to dive into the history of the Bunker Hill monument and the USS Constitution, a schedule for the Charlestown Ferry, and info about our upcoming Water Transportation Fair this Friday!

Whether you’re climbing the monument’s 294 steps for panoramic views of Boston or touring the legendary ship, it’s all just a short walk from the ferry dock. by @abctma

All aboard! This week’s #WaterTransitMonth spotlight is taking us to Salem 🚢

Before Lexington and Concord, Salem was already making history.

In February 1775, local residents successfully prevented British troops from seizing colonial military supplies during the Salem Gunpowder Raid, which is hailed by many historians as one of the earliest acts of resistance leading up to the American Revolution.

This year is also Salem’s 400th birthday! While you’re there, explore the Salem Maritime National Historic Site, stroll the historic waterfront, visit the House of the Seven Gables, and discover centuries of New England history.
