I never fell in love with money. I fell in love with making enough of it to create my own work without asking the people who had it for permission‼️

Growing up, we didn’t have a lot of money. But my parents never told us we were poor, so I didn’t walk around feeling poor. I was too busy having experiences.🎟️

Then I met the industry and learned what money controlled.
How our stories as Black people were told, and who got to tell them.
Stories that didn’t quite reflect me, my community, our truths, our trauma, or everything we carry beyond that trauma.💔

So I learned how to make money because I wanted the power to create something I could stand behind.🥊

Now, on October 25th, I’m having a party to celebrate executive producing my first horror film.👺

I get to hire people. Pay people. Create opportunities. Bring people together around work I believe in.
That’s what money means to me.. the ability to create experiences, tell our stories, and make room for healing.❤️‍🩹

But I’ve also seen how the love of money can turn evil. There’s a thin line between using your power to build and using it to hurt people. Don’t let having money, wanting money, or feeling entitled to somebody else’s money turn you into somebody you don’t recognize. 💢

Having money doesn’t give you permission to bully people. Neither does needing it. ❤️ by @abeninazeer

WHERE THE HOES AT?👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

No, seriously. Where is the “hoe”?

I’m not looking for her to shame her. I’m looking for her ROOT.

Sometimes a man is raised around a woman who has been abused, abandoned, silenced, or emotionally broken herself. He grows up experiencing her pain without understanding it, and if that pain is never healed or talked about, he can carry his own wounds into the way he sees and treats women.

We become the target of trauma we didn’t create.

Now he needs to label us, control us, sexualize us, conquer us, or call us “hoes” to feel powerful, to feel like a man.
And sometimes we start performing inside that definition without even realizing it.

But , we dont have to live inside somebody else’s trauma. SMH
💍We don’t have to become a man’s reaction to the women who hurt him, couldn’t love him, or were too hurt themselves to teach him healthy love.

So when I ask, “Where the hoes at?”

Im looking for the hoes but more importantly im looking for the wound that created the label. by @abeninazeer

We’re looking for content creators and people who have experience with live streaming and can help get our streams up and running. We’re also looking for talent for upcoming film projects, including actors and other on-camera talent.

On the production side, we’re building out the crew as well, so we’re looking for stylists, editors, and people with different creative and production skills.
