Stars came out last night to support filmmaker Abeni Nazeer and celebrate the premiere of her new film, Rush! The supernatural drama follows a young woman uncovering family secrets and confronting mysterious forces tied to her family’s land. With themes of heritage, legacy, and ancestral power, Rush brings suspense and a powerful connection to the past. Congratulations to Abeni and the entire cast and crew!

They’re calling me the Queen of the Red Carpet… so it was only fitting that I came as the Queen of the Nile. 👑✨ #lifeofapublicist #eventproducer #redcarpet #gettyimages #mpmgmt

Kudos to Abeni and her team for forging pockets of order out of chaos tonight during pick up shots and B-roll for RUSH.

Abeni Nazeer is a Baltimore-raised filmmaker who began her career teaching film at seventeen. She made her feature directing debut with the thriller Sin, starring Louis Gossett Jr., created and executive produced the horror film Rush, and developed series like Barely. Her work centers on bold, socially grounded stories that highlight underrepresented narratives.
