I wanted to share a portion of my interview at John Hopkins University in April. I’m super grateful to @thevoiceofafrica for the invitation to speak at their Diaspora Connect Room. Thank you to @mahnoz for the great interview🤝

I didn’t expect to receive an opportunity like this, and I thank God for always surprising me. taken in Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies by @abi.ndikum

You never know whose life could be changed when you say yes to that “crazy” idea and actually take the leap to bring it to life.

Grateful to @yaleafricainnovation for giving me the opportunity to moderate this talk with global superstar @ayrastarr 💜

Allow me to reintroduce myself✨

My name is Abigail Ndikum, and I’m on a mission to equip ambitious people with the knowledge, network, and opportunities to unlock their full potential.

I’m passionate about developing young talent, empowering women, and building spaces that transform communities👥

Some of you may know me through @yaleafricainnovation, a case-study conference I founded in 2022 that’s hosted 800+ participants, connecting them to professional opportunities and even entrepreneurial support through a joint incubator initiative. One implemented case study solution alone realized $150,000+ in impact.

I’ve also co-designed initiatives like a feminism-in-Africa book club and an economic empowerment program for displaced Cameroonian women, where the top 10 business plans won 100,000 CFA in start-up capital and mentorship.

As a speaker and moderator, I’ve had the honor of sitting down with leaders like Nigerian presidential candidate Peter Obi and global music artist @ayrastarr, amplifying youth perspectives in the rooms where they matter most.

So, without further ado, I’d like to warmly welcome you all along my journey 🌍 stay tuned for more🫶🏾

Experience can sometimes teach you more than what you can learn in the classroom — and I know I wouldn’t have grown in my leadership capabilities without the transformative experiences I’ve had bringing visions to life.

Thank you @nationalafsa for the opportunity to share my experience building an Africa-focused organization and help others aspire to make their dreams a reality. taken in Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies by @abi.ndikum

You’re blessed to be a blessing to others 🙏🏾

If you know me, you know I’m passionate about supporting and encouraging young women to reach their full potential. It felt only natural to organize the “Building the Woman I’m Becoming” workshop—covering topics like financial literacy, navigating college, career exploration, goal-setting, confidence-building, and more ✨

I’m incredibly grateful to my girls for stepping in as big sisters and helping facilitate such a meaningful experience. A huge thank you to @getwellby.kellz, @afrithrive.inc, and Union United Methodist Church for sponsoring such a successful event. Together, we taught five subjects to over 25 girls during our 4-hour workshop 🎉

I’d also like to officially introduce @thebikucollective—a platform dedicated to equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to live fulfilling, purpose-driven lives 🌱 taken in Union United Methodist Church by @abi.ndikum
