I am thrilled to announce that I’ve signed with Gabriella Melendez at Great Dog Literary for my cozy fantasy heist, City of Lost Dragons. Gabriella’s passion for these characters, the world, and the story as a whole blew me away and I’m so excited to work together to get this book, and many more, into reader’s hands!

The pitch:
Reclusive historian Roz joins a ragtag crew to steal the last dragon hidden beneath her magical city, only to discover that cinnamon buns and books are no match for hidden political secrets and a flirtatious academic rival who is more perilous than any dragonfire.

What to expect:
✨cozy, whimsical vibes
📚books<brawn
❤️academic rivals to lovers & kissing for practice
⚔️a daring heist
🐈snarky animal sidekicks
💕a crew of misfits learning to work together
🐉 hidden dragon lore
🧁therapeutic baking
🤪pure tomfoolery

My 26 for 2026! 📚

I am so excited to dive into these books! I’m a slow reader and a mood reader which means it’s sometimes hard for me to finish books, but I’m hoping to get through more of my tbr this year. Some of these are rereads (Throne of Glass & ACOTAR), but most I’ve never read before. My goal is to read at least 3 books per month so I should be able to get through all of these and more!

What books are you most excited to read this year?

Welcome to Havenfall, where elves and humans live in reluctant harmony, and a long lost dragon slumbers beneath the city 🐉

Would you read my cozy fantasy heist, City of Lost Dragons, based on its aesthetic?

——————

The full pitch:

Five unlikely thieves, one hidden dragon, and a pink shapeshifting cat…

In Havenfall, the war is over, and elves and humans live in harmony within the walls of the Great City. Rozmira “Roz” Blackwell prefers it that way: quiet, orderly, and safely contained inside the archives where she studies dragons, the extinct creatures who once ruled the land. When she’s not cataloguing ancient texts, she’s perfecting her cinnamon bun recipe with her lone companion, Tryx, a pink, shapeshifting cat with an attitude. But writing her book—or letting anyone close enough to read it—is another matter entirely.

When Roz is approached by a mysterious man who offers her a spot on a crew of misfits to pull off a heist, she’s not interested in giving up her comfortable—albeit boring—life for an adventure. Until he names their target: the last dragon, supposedly imprisoned deep beneath the heart of the city.

Convinced this is the inspiration she needs to get past her writer’s block, Roz agrees. But to pull it off, she’s driven from the shelter of her archives and forced to learn the art of teamwork. Because one of her new crew is none-other than her university rival, best-selling author and historian Arlo Tiernyn, an insufferable high elf with enough charm to fill a dragon’s belly.

But the deeper they dig into Havenfall’s underbelly, the clearer it becomes this isn’t just a heist, and their mysterious leader is hiding secrets. If they free the dragon, they won’t only rewrite history, they might burn the city to the ground, forcing Roz to decide what matters more: the truth she’s spent her life chasing, the fragile peace holding Havenfall together, or the man she never meant to trust but can’t seem to let go.
