“But a mere four days later, I was marching through the hallways of the neuro-intensive care unit, dancing on the head of the enemy that so sneakily tried to take me out of here by way of the very place where my gifts lie: my mind.” 🏃🏽‍♀️💨

It’s been a week of 2024, how you living?! In anticipation for ABJ’s release, I’ll be dropping some of my favorite excerpts from the book. Happy first #SneakPeakSunday! 📖👀

The most difficult part of writing ABJ (aside from *writing* ABJ 😂) was reviewing the reports for accuracy and spellings. But there were a couple that I looked over and I just could not believe were about ME. To look at a report talking about ‘deterioration’ and ‘death,’ and to look at where I am now? Where I was when I woke up from surgery? BUT GOD. I read these reports now and throw a ‘BUT GOD’ behind every death sentence those doctors wrote about me. When the doctors said no, Lord, YOU said yes. And I’m eternally grateful. So grateful He kept me here to tell you all about it 🌱 #ABJNovel #BrainAneurysmSurvivor by @abjnovel

“We saw Jesus so we had to come see”

When I first started vending, truthfully I used to gravitate only to Christian events because well, is that not my target audience? It used to be uncomfortable & a little clunky at any that weren’t. I almost started to slip into the idea that some of these places were just simply not the place for ABJ. But in time, I realized the responsibility in being the only Christian author or faith-based business in the room…Somebody gotta bring Jesus there, right? 😅

In time, my confidence grew when I realized it wasn’t about how many books I sold, but how many people may have whispered the name of Jesus (for the first time, even) just by walking by my table. And let’s not get started on the testimonies and shared stories.

We’re called to be the light in the darkness. And not at all to say every non faith-based event I’ve been at is equated to darkness. But there was such a powerful revelation that I just had to share in how many people this weekend mentioned “Jesus” caught their or attention or brought them to the table. All He needs is to be lifted up, He’ll do the drawing ✍🏽
