The best part of participating in the @pointeshoesummit in Singapore was hearing back from you, the dance community.

No matter who we asked - younger dancers, ex-professionals, dance experts - they all echoed the same sentiment: there has to be a better way of doing pointe.

We wish we could’ve heard from you all in person, but let’s at least talk here. What do YOU think is the biggest issue with the traditional pointe shoes? by @abletoact

What happens when you put world’s leading dance health experts, ballet teachers, dancers, brands, retailers… all in one room?

→ Conversations that have been decades overdue.

→ Silent wishes of dancers finally being said out loud.

→ Questions about why we do things a certain way, and how to do them better.

There is a real shift happening in the ballet world and we are incredibly proud to be a part of it.

Thank you to all of the dancers who travelled for hours just to get fitted with act’pointes.

After participating at the @pointeshoesummit in Singapore this year, we can confidently say that there is a shift happening in the ballet world…

and we are so proud to be a part of the conversation.

Dancers and experts are rethinking the traditional pointe shoe and working hard to find ways to do things better, and with more support.
