Adam putting our Kubota to work getting the rest of the home shop yard nice and tidy! The city of Pensacola has said it will take crews roughly 3 months to be finished picking up all the debris from Hurricane Isaias. Amazing how much work goes into the cleanup!! The audio works as well as my arms did after cleaning all this debris! 🤣 We wanted to give another update on the damage caused by hurricane Isaias at our home shop. We are happy to report no major damage! Just a ton of debris and of course, no power. Thanks to all the crews that came to help with the recovery effort by trimming trees and getting everyone’s power restored. Of course we were a bit nervous to head home because we didn’t know what to expect. Everyone on the gulf coast knows this could have been so much worse! Seeing everyone come together to help each other is amazing and is always my favorite silver lining to witness. It’s always weird the day before a hurricane gets where it’s going, but we made the absolute best of it with a few local stops like the Woodruff Dam, a cute local restaurant (those are corn fritters with the powdered sugar…yum!) and of course a bit of BBQ and bourbon sampling at the camp. 🌀Hurricane Update: Thanks to all of the people who have reached out to us to make sure we are being safe for the upcoming Isaias landfall. Since we were camping for Adam’s birthday, and the State Park was evacuated, we decided to head east so we don’t have to go through the brunt.
