Flipping homes but in a good way.
Currently: 1970s ranch style house (our first live-in reno!)

POSTS STORIES REELS

One day I'll share more about how we got here but for now I'll say this – We've never renovated a house before, we're learning as we go, and every step of the way feels more exciting than the last. I think that means we're onto something good?

Turns out Alek's really good at finding old homes that need lots of love. And lucky for you all, I have a tendency to document....everything 🙂‍↕️🤳🏼, so I'm thinking maybe if we share enough it will start to feel like you're in on this venture too.

So without further ado, here's everything we know and are continually learning About [ renovating, making, rebuilding ] a Home. by @about_ahome

Life update: we're starting our 4th home renovation but plot twist this time we're living in it 🫪 by @about_ahome

The longest flip. A seemingly never-ending project that began last April, required nearly every ounce of patience between the two of us combined and ultimately turned out juuust fine. So fine, in fact, we're pending after 4 days on the market. Here's the Englewood house!

Featuring @dearleroux.interiors truly flawless staging. by @about_ahome

One moment I think I don't need any help and the next I'm by myself in a dusty mid-reno house standing on unfinished cabinets with my phone propped up on a stack of boxes on the other side of the room trying to figure out the perfect height for the kitchen sink light because I need to let the electrician know where to cut the pendant cord and sure I could just guess the height but it'll probably be way too high or way too low and that's what lazy flippers do.....and that's pretty much the opposite of what we're going for here.

My dream date, cute. #houseflipping #houserenovations #homerenos #flippinghomes by @about_ahome

We're getting to work on the Airport House! It's a bit outdated and you probably shouldn't enter without a P100 mask since the cat pee is soaked into every inch of this place, but in a handful of weeks we hope to make it feel like home for just the right people.

For starters, we'll replace the carpet with new flooring of course, clean the walls and give them a fresh coat of paint, new custom cabinets/countertop for the kitchen, and make some fresh updates to the bathrooms. What do you think? Can you see the vision?? by @about_ahome

Our next flip!! Earlier this week I had a chance to walk through the next home we'll be renovating and of course had to report back to you guys with a house tour.

This time we're in South Denver taking on a 1878 sqft home built in the 1940s, and on a corner lot no less 😮‍💨 To say we're excited about the potential for this place is a massive understatement. Let us know what you think!

Pretty chill until I have to decide on paint color for a house. But since so many of you are vibing with this little color palette we've chosen for Sunset Street, I'd like to think that sharing this post will make my hours of over-analyzing and borderline insanity worth it.

Our goal was for this 1890s bungalow to feel calm, yet interesting. Just slightly custom enough to attract a variety of buyers, without the stale feeling of millennial beige or grey. Newly finished, but not standard builder-grade. Somewhat of a template we hope to follow for many of our flips to come 💛 Enjoy!

The COMPLETE walk-through of our first flip! It's been a couple of months since we officially closed on the Sunset Street house which makes me (Taylor) the worst for not sharing this finished house tour sooner. Now please enjoy my customer service voice while we do one final house tour of the coziest little bungalow in Longmont, Colorado.

When we found out we'd be staging the house in December it took everything in me not to go overboard with the holiday decor, but a touch of garland felt just right.

This Christmas feels a little extra special to have a complete listing and a couple of offers after just a few days on the market (!!) and before I could edit and share all of the before and after content 😮‍💨...coming soon, don't you worry.

Here's a little peek at some of those final details we loveee to see. Happy Holidays! by @about_ahome
