Referring to this past week as “crazy” would be an understatement, but moments like this are truly full circle for me.

Since I started making hats in #Atlanta, the number one question I’ve heard is, “Do you do Cam Newton’s hats?” — followed closely by, “I thought you were Cam Newton…” on more than a few occasions. True story. 😂

I’ve always respectfully denied the allegations and went on about my day… never realizing @montelljordan had been dealing with the same thing this whole time. 😂

But on a serious note, I want to send a sincere THANK YOU to @cam, @iconicsaga, and @funkyfriday for allowing that moment to live exactly as it happened. Some moments don’t need to be scripted. They just need to be honored.

And to my brother @montelljordan — man, where do I even begin? You have advocated for me in rooms I may never step foot in, spoken my name in spaces I could only pray about, and carried a piece of @hatrimonyhatco with pride every time you show up. That is something money simply cannot buy.

To the brothers watching, let this be a reminder of what happens when we make the conscious decision to advocate for one another. When we speak life into each other’s work. When we open doors, make introductions, share platforms, and celebrate greatness without hesitation.

There is nothing accidental or coincidental about this moment.

This is Divine Connection 101. 🙏🏾

If you haven’t already, tune into the latest episode of #FunkyFriday and hit that subscribe button on the way out.

There is something infinitely special that takes place when two chosen individuals choose one another...when they make a conscious decision to love one another even if it means leaving everyone else. @arielashleyy you are something I couldn’t experience had I not broken out of the box they tried to put me in. [𝐆𝐨𝐝] has truly blessed us in the midst of the craziest times this world has ever seen, and I can’t wait to see how he uses us to project his greater glory. You have given #SULLENSZN new meaning, new purpose, new vision, and most importantly a new name. I introduce to you...⁣⁣

As we “RISE UP” this morning, just know I’m still yelling #WHODAT in something custom-made by yours truly. ⚜️😂

And as the good ole HBCU folks like to say… “At least we won the halftime show!” 😂

Major salute to my alma mater, @theofficialkarrband, for a stellar performance on a global stage last night. Nothing like seeing @ednakarrhs represented under the bright lights.

Forever proud to be a Karr Man. SECOND TO NONE. 🐾

Since I started creating signature pieces for @juviethegreat, I always wanted to find a way to meet him where he was — embracing everything that made me want to be a Hot Boy since a youngin.

From the rags I wear around my neck and on my head almost daily, it’s all a reflection of growing up in #NewOrleans wanting to be on top. They gave us a style that made us identifiable anywhere in the world — tees, Bo’s and Ree’s, whoadie. You knew where we were from before we ever had to say it.

One time Juve told me, “I ain’t performing in my hat…I can’t sweat my sh*t out, f^ck that!” 😂 From that moment, I went back to the lab. I knew eventually I’d find the right way to create something that could live on stage with him, and the Cash Money x No Limit Tour felt like the perfect moment.

And you know I couldn’t forget The Original HotGirl, @therealmrsjuvenile. You bridged me and Juve together the way only New Orleans could, and I’ll always love you for that.

I can’t repay y’all for what you continue to do for me and my family. So every opportunity I get to show up, I’m there.

Loyalty ain’t free. 🤞🏾

#HOLYHATRIMONY

Make sure y’all catch the Cash Money x No Limit Tour when it hits your city before November! 🔥

Had the opportunity to sit still, listen, and hear Brother @kaepernick7 share the origin stories behind The Perilous Fight—a journey that began over a decade ago when he took a knee to stand for what he believed in. Hearing the story through the grapevine is one thing. Hearing it directly from the man who lived it is something entirely different.

As a former player, what resonated most with me was his story of resilience and transition beyond the game. Athletes develop a different level of mental fortitude—the ability to keep moving forward while a million things are trying to pull you backward.

One thing the game taught me is that rarely do we get to choose when it’s time to transition. Eventually, the game stands taller than all of us, whether we’re prepared for that moment or not. In this photo are two men who found a way to stand taller when that time came.

Thank you for your insight, courage, persistence, and transparency this weekend. Here’s to continuing The Fight. 👊🏾 #NFLPA

Everybody wanna be fly, but nobody wants to master the art of turbulence.

Everybody loves the altitude. The view. The freedom. The recognition.

But resistance is part of the flight.

The pressure, the uncertainty, the setbacks, the moments that shake your confidence—that’s what teaches you how to stay above it all when conditions aren’t perfect.

You don’t become elite by avoiding turbulence. You become elite by learning how to navigate it without losing your direction.

Everybody wants wings.

Few people are willing to become the kind of person who can handle what comes with this fly sh*t.

Cheers to my brother @darianthedirector for always capturing me in flight mode. ✈️ #HOLYHATRIMONY

That old saying, “Walk in like you own the mf’er,” hits different at this stage of my life.

I enjoy everything that comes with entrepreneurship—the work and the perks of what you’ve built.

Cheers to closing out Year 4 with my friends @atlfoodandwine. Thank you for always making space for @hatrimonyhatco to show up and show out.

I been going bananas since the day I started this journey with @hatrimonyhatco … don’t act surprised now. 🍌

As I sit inside the shop my family and I built together, I’m grateful to be celebrating 3 YEARS in business.

Three years of building. Three years of stretching. Three years of learning just how strong you have to become to carry something you once only prayed about.

And somehow, through every high, every low, every uncertain season and every time I turned that key wondering what the day would bring, [God] kept His hands on me.

He gave me more grace than I probably deserve. More favor than I care to brag about. More faith than fear. And when I thought I had emptied the tank, He gave me enough strength to get up and do it again.

That’s the part of entrepreneurship people don’t always see.

Strength isn’t always how much you can lift. Sometimes it’s how much you can carry without allowing it to change who you are. It’s having the discipline to keep showing up when nobody is clapping. It’s surviving the weight of the vision long enough to become strong enough for what you asked God to give you.

I walk like a man who has put in his 10,000 hours…and counting.

I walk like I’ve been tested.
I walk like I’ve been strengthened.
I walk like I know whose I am…because I do.

Nothing they say, nothing they do, and nothing placed in my way can stop what God has already spoken over my life, my business, or my family.

So here’s to Year 3 and whatever strength the next chapter requires of me.

We ain’t tired. We’re trained.

Welcome to the next phase of The Best Hat Shop in America.

It’s never too late to pull up. 🫡

Shared some beautiful moments with some beautiful people this weekend in #Savannah at @derbyhatkickbacksav for their annual affair at @savannahcountryclub. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏼

While there, I had the honor of hearing the origin story of @sablebourbon and how more than 25 years of brotherhood ultimately helped bring the brand to fruition.

These brothers are blazing a trail not only for themselves, but for Us in the spirits industry—and one detail in particular stood out to me: the Crown that serves as a defining piece of the Sable identity.

That was the moment I knew crowning them with their very first Hatrimony pieces was exactly what was supposed to happen. 👑🎩

@morrischestnutofficial @haroldperrineau there’s no denying these were made just for you. Looking good, fellas! 🫡

Thank you to everyone who helped make this moment possible. One thing we can always say about Savannah is that every time we come through, the love is undeniable.

Thank you for having us. Until next time… #HOLYHATRIMONY

The biggest misconception people have about me is thinking I’m here to compete with them.

If they knew the backstory, they’d understand I’ve never really been in competition with anybody but the man God called me to become.

By the grace of God—and God alone—I’ve been able to build a life from circumstances that could’ve easily broken me. That doesn’t make me better than anybody. It just makes me grateful that I kept getting back up.

I lead from the front because I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I’m called to. Not for the applause. Not for the attention. Not for the gratification. But because somebody coming behind me may need proof that the things meant to bury you can still become the foundation you build on.

So, if the space around me feels a little harder to penetrate these days, understand that it was built through prayer, disappointment, discipline, loss, faith and a whole lot of getting back up when nobody was watching.

I went through enough hell to finally protect the peace God gave me.

And somehow, through it all, I still choose to uplift instead of becoming bitter about what life has put me through.

Brother, you may be one decision away from becoming everything God has been trying to reveal in you.

Keep pulling the curtain back.

There’s more on the other side.

Never get the ones who are just moving confused with the ones who actually have motion.

There’s a difference.

Be the one they never get confused with. 🚶🏾💨
