Movement beats hesitation.

This Prevention Scramble Drill develops one of the most important transitions in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The top player works to prevent guard recovery, while the bottom player focuses on creating space and recovering guard. Both athletes are forced to stay active, make quick decisions, and sharpen their timing under pressure.

Consistent positional drills like this build better movement, reactions, and awareness that carry over directly into live sparring.

What a year it’s been at Miami Martial Arts.

2025 was a year of growth, expansion, and commitment across every part of our program. We saw our students develop stronger technique, confidence, discipline, and teamwork on and off the mats.

This year marked four years of leading the way in kids Jiu-Jitsu on Miami Beach with no slowdown in sight.

Throughout the year, we proudly expanded our Jiu-Jitsu program to two new locations, expanded Garage Fitness to one new location, grew our headquarters training space from 1,100 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft, hosted three Team Dual events and one youth competition, became fully recognized by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation IBJJF, and established an affiliation and partnership with @aandmbjj .

We wrapped up the year with an amazing Belt & Awards Ceremony, celebrating effort, progress, and dedication. Congratulations to all students who were recognized, and to those still working toward their next milestone keep showing up. Your time will come.

We’re incredibly proud of our students, grateful for our families, and thankful to everyone who continues to support and be part of this team.

We wish everyone a Happy New Year. Looking ahead to an even stronger 2026 💪🥋

Merry Christmas!

Feeling incredibly blessed to have experienced such an amazing Christmas surrounded by so many new friends who went above and beyond to make sure my family didn’t need or want for anything.
What started as a trip to Italy for a new venture turned into one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives.
