POSTS STORIES REELS
I came to the decision recently that I am going to make much more of an intentional effort to pursue my passions, embrace my imaginative side, and express the creative aspects of my personality unapologetically. I have always been a daydreamer. My grandma called me the “absent-minded professor”. As a kid, I was bullied for spending time in class working out the scripts, lexicon and grammar of imaginary languages and the people that spoke them, and even as I grew older it was a hobby and interest that I hid from the world for a long time. My latest post on Substack is the initial offering of a product of labor that has been in progress for a while, and will remain so for years to come. For most of my life, it has lacked any real sense of purpose or direction, but I think it is one that is starting to take form and that I am gradually embracing. This is only the beginning. In my latest philosophy piece, one several years in the making, I give a brief overview of the human mind’s faculty of object perception and recognition. I also explore how contradiction, dynamism and emergent complexity are integral to the reality we both perceive and embody. Many thanks to all of the friends, lovers and unsuspecting conversation partners whose feedback and criticism have made it possible for this to come together. Link in bio. by @absnt.mnd
