It was a real treat painting my contribution to @abstractjunction Portal to the Cosmic Home, a multi-artist experience connected with @cincinnatiartweek this upcoming week!

@raemillerarts and I discussed portals and cosmos and light and all the in-betweens that connect to the works and activations in the Cosmic Home experience. I continually return to stars and clouds, she often includes suns and moons. This window painting merges our personal creative inclinations (color scheme, style) and functions as a literal portal—peeking through the clouds, you see the Cosmic Home and find the door is the Portal to it.

This is my largest window painting and one of the most fun! Thank you to Rae for the window space, for painting with me and helping make a nice Home for the very first @cincinnatiartweek follow @abstractjunction and partake in the festivities this coming week! by @abstractjunction

It's time for another edition of the Grant Park Art Walk this Saturday October 3 from 4pm - 8pm. In conjunction with the beginning of @cincinnatiartweek, @gee_horton and @abstractjunction will have their doors open for some great events. @8kcompany will also be having an office open house and the Over-the-Rhine community garden will be open. We hope you can make it out to our neck of the woods. taken in Grant Park OTR by @abstractjunction

We invite you into our Cosmic Home, a place to pause and find reprieve. Step away from the hustle and give yourself permission to engage with what is nurturing; creativity and collaboration.

Our walls are filled with work by an array of artists exploring ideas of home, connection, and the possibilities that emerge when we work alongside one another. These works ask us to consider what it means to build community and how shared spaces can become sites of belonging.

During @cincinnatiartweek visitors are welcome to come sit, make, reflect, and work alongside us in the studio. Settle in at our communal work table or simply spend time in the space. Located just around the corner from Findlay Market, we welcome you to visit during any of our open hours or engage with our programming.

✨ moon clock ✨

Calling this one done (for now...)

There's still some extra bits I'm considering, but my plates are a bit full, and sometimes you just need to say your piece is finished.

I'm getting increasingly excited for our installation next month.

I've never been someone who thrives in isolation. I can appreciate alone time or working solo, but I'm more motivated by collaboration and what happens when we work together.

An Abstract Junction... 😏

This piece and SO many other pieces will be displayed at the @abstractjunction studio for @cincinnatiartweek

We also have some fun, unique and creative programming we'll be announcing soon.

✨✨✨

PS wearing my new @oakbrandusa_official shirt! For those who don't know, I owe my screen printing skills to Salene of Oakbrand. It was one of those magical chance manifesting moments. I had literally just been talking about wanting to learn and she happened to be set up across from me at a Treasure Island event. Shortly after I became her apprentice and worked w her and the late sweet @oaktowngirly 🐶💖✨ taken in Over-The Rhine by @abstractjunction
