📍 Suleja Dam

It was roughly a one-hour drive from Abuja.

The dam is a beauty to behold. The sounds, the views and the atmosphere were simply breathtaking. I could sit there all day, just birdwatching and taking it all in.

During our visit, military personnel were on guard. They interrogated us, so I’d say it’s relatively safe.

Suleja Dam is in a community called Karfe Town in Niger State. It has a Google Maps pin, but I’m not sure it’s accurate. A bike man led us to the exact spot.

I believe this is one of the tourism gold mines that is being slept on.
